About This Game

Build the maze. Hold the line. Break their defenses.

Rampartloom: PvP Tower Defense is a free-to-play 3v3 Tower Wars strategy game that brings competitive team battles to Tower Defense. Building and attacking go hand in hand: shape your lane with defensive towers, send assault units at the opposing team, and decide how much gold to spend surviving the next attack or growing your economy. Your lane is yours to build, but victory belongs to the team.

Turn your lane into a defensive maze

Place defensive towers to shape the route enemies take through your territory. Use bends and overlapping firing ranges to give your towers more time to attack. Strengthen key positions with upgrades, adapt your layout to incoming threats, and keep a path open from entrance to exit. You can build up to 60 towers in your lane: where you place them matters as much as what you build.

Three players. Two wings. One shared defense.

Each team has two outer lanes and one center lane. Choose your position preference with WING or CENTER before searching for a match.
  • WING: Defend an outer lane and stop incoming assault units before they reach your teammate in the center.
  • CENTER: Hold the next line of defense against enemies that get through either wing.
Your team shares its lives. Watch your teammates' lanes and coordinate your attacks: protecting one lane is only part of winning the match.

Every attack is also an economic choice

Defensive towers, upgrades, and assault units draw from the same gold supply. Sending assault units increases the income you receive on future income cycles, giving you more to spend as the match develops. Investing in income leaves less gold for immediate defense; spending everything on towers can slow your economic growth.

Choose from different assault units, unlock more options as you progress, and time your sends with your teammates. Try to exploit gaps in the opposing defense while keeping your own team ready for the response.

Draft from twelve distinct factions

Each faction brings its own defensive towers, visual identity, and upgrade options. Before the match, choose between your two randomly offered factions. Unchosen options enter your team's shared pool, where you can swap your selection before the draft locks. Adapt to the choices you receive and build a defense that complements your teammates.

Find a match on your own or with friends

Queue on your own or form a party of up to three players with Steam friends. Select your position preference and press FIND MATCH to move into the lobby, faction selection, and battle. Matches run on dedicated servers. When there are not enough human players, bots can fill empty positions to complete the teams.
