About This Demo

Password Not Valid is a chaotic competitive party game for 2-6 players where you have to build your own password while the rules never stop changing.

• Write your password

It's easy at first. But before you know it, your password needs as many vowels as digits, every consonant in uppercase, a symbol at the end, a Roman numeral, and the odd bit of madness on top...

• Choose your rules

The rules aren't random: the players take turns choosing them. And they apply to everyone equally, so think twice before picking an easy one. You'll be making life easier for your opponents too!

• Be the last one standing

Defend your system. Every rule you break damages it. But never write off a game: one well-chosen rule or one lucky break can turn the tables. There will also be votes to pick the chaotic effects that decide what happens next (and there will always be someone voting for whatever hurts you the most).

• Fall and become the hacker

Losing your system doesn't put you out of the game: it puts you on the other side. From there you try to crack the passwords of everyone still standing, and every hit is a direct attack on their system.

One rule bans repeated characters. Another asks for six vowels. But there are only five distinct vowels (sorry, Y)... until it hits you that "A" and "a" are two different characters. Rules that are easy on their own and look impossible together.
