About This Game

A quick scribble. A detailed masterpiece. Both belong here.

Rakugaki Beast is a drawing and battling game starring creatures you create. Give your drawing a name and AI comes up with moves, a personality, and a backstory inspired by both. Then take your creations into 3v3 battles.

Your doodle has a story to tell

An unassuming blob with an over-the-top signature move. A fearsome monster with a wonderfully silly line. Each result includes move names and descriptions, a personality, and lore to discover. Names give the AI ideas, too. Is that Fluffzo or Deathfang? The fun starts before you hit register.

Find a winning team of your own

Choose three favorites for turn-based battles. Use a move, guard, or switch beasts. Read the element matchups and manage move costs to decide your next step. Artistic skill alone does not determine battle strength. Find what works for your team.

Meet someone else's imagination

Publish your team as a ghost for other players to challenge, even while you are away. Discover other players' creations and send a stamp when one catches your eye. Your collection records both the beasts you create and those you encounter in battle.

Draw together. Reveal together. Battle.

Invite a friend through Steam or share a room code to play a turn-based match together in real time. Bring your existing teams, or choose Instant Battle and draw three new beasts each on the spot. Reveal all six results, then face your friend in a live turn-based match with the three you drew. Both modes are real-time online multiplayer. From blank canvas to battle in one session.

Take a break at the ranch

Watch your beasts wander around, revisit their moves and stories in the collection, or head back to the canvas when inspiration strikes. Make a quick doodle or spend time on the details. It is up to you.

An internet connection is required to register beasts using AI and to use online features.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some game assets were created with AI assistance under paid commercial licenses: background art and the title logo (image generation), BGM (Suno), and sound effects (ElevenLabs). All AI-generated assets are recorded in an internal license ledger, were generated on paid plans permitting commercial use, and were reviewed by the developer before inclusion.

AI is used at runtime to evaluate a player's drawing, chosen creature name and language, and to generate the creature's element, stats, moves and descriptive text. Drawings are sent through our Cloudflare-hosted service to the DeepSeek API for evaluation and content moderation; chosen names and language settings are sent for evaluation. Ghost Sharing also sends each creature’s drawing, party text fields and the in-game display name for content moderation. The player's drawing remains the creature's artwork. When a player supplies a name, the game keeps that name instead of replacing it with the model's suggested name.

Private friend matches using an existing party also send creature drawings, party text fields and the in-game display name to the DeepSeek API for content moderation.

Player-created drawings, names and generated text can be shown to other players when a player chooses Ghost Sharing or enters an online match. Ghost teams may appear as asynchronous opponents and in the stamp ranking. Real-time friend matches use private rooms joined through a room code or Steam invitation, using an existing team or creatures drawn during an Instant match. This release has no public/random real-time matchmaking. Participating in a match does not by itself publish a creature as a shared ghost or add it to the public ghost ranking.

The service applies automated content moderation and blocks content it rejects from the corresponding registration or sharing flow. Players can report content through the official website's contact form. Automated moderation can make mistakes. Battle outcomes are calculated by deterministic game rules, not by AI.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Other players' drawings, chosen names, and generated text can appear as ghost battle opponents, in the stamp ranking, or during online matches. Content is subject to automated moderation, but mistakes are possible and user-created material may occasionally be crude or unsuitable for younger players. Players can report content through the official website. Publishing a team as a ghost makes it eligible to appear in ghost battles and the public stamp ranking; joining a match alone does not publish the team. The game's authored content consists of cartoon fantasy battles with no blood, death, sexual content, drugs, or gambling.
