About This Game

NIGHTSWEEPER follows Melani, a young Sweeper traveling through the Low Waste, a white desert beneath a bleak sun. Its abandoned roads pass ruined settlements and fields where broken golems were discarded.

She travels beyond the wall to recover ancient artifacts, then brings them back to work through the magic trapped inside.

Magic keeps traces of the people who shaped it. In grimoires, artifacts, and talismans, those traces can settle into scars. Each find becomes a sequence of puzzle pages. Read numbered clues, reveal safe tiles, and mark hidden scars without breaking the spell around them.

Once an artifact is clean, sell it and buy tools and upgrades to improve Melani's abilities. Navigate and search deeper into the desert, then return with more artifacts to sweep.

SWEEP CAREFULLY

The pages use the familiar logic of Minesweeper: each numbered tile helps reveal where scars are hidden nearby. Clear safe spaces and mark every scar to finish the page. One wrong choice can break the spell.

The artifact holding the spell and the person who shaped it can bend those rules, changing the board's shape, obscuring clues, or altering how scars are counted.

BRING WHAT YOU NEED

Manage items and choose what to carry with you. Build an inventory of tools and magical apparel that can reveal information, alter pages, or help with difficult patterns. Different loadouts offer different ways to approach an artifact, while new purchases and upgrades expand what Melani can do.

BEYOND THE WALL

Story Mode moves between first-person exploration and spell-sweeping. Search abandoned settlements, cross the golem fields, read the desert for traps, and recover artifacts to bring back beyond the wall. Story Mode is expected to take around 6-8 hours to complete.

Sell spells and artifacts that Melani restores, and gradually search farther from safety. Her story unfolds along the lost roads, leading toward the darkest part of the desert.

KEEP SWEEPING

Endless Mode removes the exploration entirely. Sweep one spell after another until failure ends the run.
