About This Demo

No name, and no memory. You wake in a room that looks jarringly ordinary. A Door, a lock, the familiar logic of every puzzle you've every solved. Then the room begins to lie to you.

Whoever Left the Light On is a surreal point-and-click puzzle game of dream logic, where escaping means unlearning all that you've learned before, and amongst the bizarre, remembering who you were.

SURREAL MIND-BENDING PUZZLES

You know the score. The key goes in the door, right? Except here...it doesn't.

In this bizarre place you wake into, things seem normal, until they don't. Work your way through what might seem like a familiar setting at first...then employ the twisted strangeness of surreal dream logic to escape and uncover this place's secrets, and perhaps your own...

HANDMADE STYLISED ENVIRONMENT

Puzzle your way through an uncomfortably familiar environment, a small studio flat. Hand crafted to be as boring and plain as possible, until, well...you'll have to play to see what happens next.

A SOUNDTRACK THAT NEVER SETTLES

Atmospheric ambient soundtrack that reacts to your progress, composed and performed by the brilliant Sam Hall, along with a vast range of custom-made SFX throughout your strange journey.

PIECE TOGETHER WHO YOU WERE

It's watching you, or are you're watching it? This place you find yourself in never seems to stay the same, but you can't quite work out what's changing, when, why...will you unravel its secrets? Nothing in this room is random. Everything means something. The further you embrace it, the less the place feels like somewhere to escape, and the more it feels like something you've buried.
