About This Game

One survivor. One broken piece of the Ark. A whole world to rebuild.

The Ark came apart in the sky, and its pieces fell across the planet. You wake at one of them — alone, with nothing working but your own two hands. There is no crew, no power, no plan. Just the wreck, the quiet, and the first thing you can pick up off the ground.

Legacy of the Ark: Beneath the Broken Sky is an incremental idle game about starting from almost nothing and slowly, satisfyingly turning it into everything. Every mechanic is introduced one at a time, so the crash site grows from a single click into a thriving operation you can feel yourself mastering.

From a single click to a self-running camp

  • Gather by hand — click for water, food, and materials until you can search the wreck for your first cryopod.
  • Wake survivors and assign them to gather resources. They earn XP, level up their skills, and get faster the longer they work.
  • Upgrade your tools to multiply every hand and every click.
  • Grow your population through found survivors and your own camp's birth rate.

Send expeditions into the dark

Once your camp can spare the hands, commit crews to timed expeditions that return with a share of everything you produce — and the rare parts you can't gather at home. Run up to three teams at once, each on its own length, and let them work while you focus elsewhere.

Chart the deep and explore the Ark's lost sections

Push a party across a sprawling deep-exploration map with branching paths and story discoveries, and undertake the long Deep Ark expeditions that carry you toward the game's true goal.

Settle, research, and specialize

Discover and settle new regions, bank survivors into a permanent settlement, and pour research into the systems that make everything run better. The camp you build is yours to shape.

Stabilize a broken sky

At the heart of it all is the Anchor Test — a prestige system that trades a fresh start for lasting memories and permanent upgrades. Each test nudges the Time Stability gauge higher. Reach 100%, and time finally holds: the sky stops breaking, and your legacy is complete. Your player level, memories, and upgrades carry forward the whole way.

Idle-friendly by design

  • True offline progress — the world keeps working while you're away, using the exact same math as when you're watching.
  • Numbers that never stop growing, from your first drop of water to astronomical scale.
  • Play in bursts or settle in — it respects your time either way.

Fair, honest, and complete

Beneath the Broken Sky is a full game you can finish without spending a cent beyond the purchase. There are no ads, no energy timers, and no paywalls. The optional in-game store offers only small boosts and quality-of-life conveniences — nothing that gates content or is ever required to reach the ending. It's simply a way to support continued development if you're enjoying your time here.

The sky is broken. The Ark is scattered. Start with one click — and build a legacy beneath it.

A world you may already know

Beneath the Broken Sky shares its world with Legacy of the Ark: The Long Awakening. Both games begin the same way — with the Ark broken and crashed upon the planet's surface — but they follow two very different groups of survivors from two very different parts of the ship.

The Long Awakening follows those who came down with the Ark's main power and operations sections, survivors with access to its advanced systems and modern technology. Beneath the Broken Sky tells the story of the agricultural section — a part of the Ark built for food and water reclamation, not power or machinery. Its survivors woke with almost none of the ship's technology at hand, which is exactly why your story begins with a single click and two bare hands, reclaiming water and food and rebuilding a life from the ground up.

Two sections. Two sets of survivors. One shattered Ark, and a single connected legacy. You don't need to have played The Long Awakening to start here — each game tells its own self-contained story — but together they show two faces of the same fall.
