Someone handed you a random site, a budget that wouldn't cover catering, and barely any time to book a lineup before the gates open. What could go wrong?

BOOK FAST, REGRET SLOWLY

Every run throws you a different hand: a new site, a new headliner offer, a fresh batch of bands, vendors, and crew who may or may not show up sober. You've got days, not weeks, to build a lineup out of whatever the draft gives you. There's no perfect strategy here, only the strategy that survives this particular disaster.

CASH OUT, OR PUSH YOUR LUCK

Turn a profit and you'll face the only decision that matters: walk away, cash in your reputation for permanent unlocks (new acts, vendors, perks, sites), and start your next run with a wider hand to play, or roll it all into an even bigger, even riskier festival down the chain. Every step up means bigger crowds, bigger names, and bigger ways for it all to catch fire. Go bankrupt, and the run ends, but a smaller slice of that reputation still carries over. Mostly.

MANAGE THE CHAOS, LIVE

Once the gates open, it's showtime: crowds surge, portable toilets overflow, headliners threaten to storm off stage, and someone is absolutely, definitely sneaking off into the bushes. Juggle your staff, relocate stages on the fly, and watch your carefully-built financial forecast collapse in real time because nobody predicted that modifier.

PAY YOUR BANDS, OR DON'T

At the final settlement, if the money doesn't stretch far enough, you decide who gets paid and who doesn't. Screw over a big-name act and your reputation takes a beating, and word travels fast; suddenly the good bands stop returning your calls. Or take the risk, keep the lights on, and hope nobody important talks.
