Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Escape Together: Prison Break together with our community. Early Access will allow us to gather player feedback on co-op gameplay, progression, balance, guard behavior, and the overall pace of the escape. This feedback will help us understand which parts of the experience need the most improvement as we work toward the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the game to remain in Early Access for roughly one year. This is only an estimate and may change depending on player feedback, development progress, and the amount of refinement the game requires.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, we plan to expand and refine the existing gameplay experience. Our priorities include improving co-op interactions, progression, balance, guard behavior, performance, and overall polish. We also plan to improve existing content and consider additional content based on community feedback.
These plans may evolve during development as we learn more from players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core gameplay experience and can be played solo or in online co-op with up to 4 players.

Players can dig a secret escape tunnel, hide its entrance from guards, transport and dispose of excavated dirt, discover and trade valuable items, and upgrade their tools, inventory space, and carrying capacity. The game also includes proximity voice chat, interactions with prisoners and prison staff, and a basketball minigame.

The game is playable, but some areas may still require balancing, optimization, additional polish, and bug fixes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access price is intended to reflect the current amount of content and level of polish. The price may increase when the game leaves Early Access to reflect its expanded and improved state. Any pricing changes will be communicated to the community in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to follow player feedback through Steam discussions, reviews, and bug reports. Community feedback will help us identify technical issues, improve balance and progression, and understand which parts of the solo and co-op experience need further development.

We also plan to share development updates and patch notes so players can follow the game's progress throughout Early Access.”

Locked inside a heavily guarded prison, you have only one way out: dig a secret tunnel and escape.

Play solo or team up in online co-op with up to 4 players. Coordinate your actions using built-in proximity voice chat, avoid guard patrols, and hide the tunnel entrance beneath your cell's carpet before inspections. One mistake could expose your operation and cost valuable progress.

Discover valuable items while digging and trade what you find. Upgrade your tools, expand your inventory, and increase your carrying capacity to work more efficiently.

🪣 LEAVE NO TRACE

Digging the tunnel is only part of the challenge. Transport and dispose of the excavated dirt without attracting suspicion. As the tunnel grows longer, teamwork and careful planning become essential.
