About This Game

PURSUE JUSTICE IN THE MIDDLE AGES

King’s Detectives is a 2–4 player co-op detective game set in the fictional Kingdom of Westmoor, inspired by medieval England.

Appointed as royal detectives by King Edmund IV, you must investigate mysterious crimes across the kingdom. Examine crime scenes, collect physical evidence, question witnesses, follow suspects, and uncover contradictions hidden within their statements.

Every investigation presents a different mystery. Accusing the wrong person could condemn an innocent suspect while allowing the real culprit to escape.

FROM MURDER TO PALACE INTRIGUE

Crime reaches every corner of Westmoor. Your investigations may involve:

• Unsolved murders
• Mysterious disappearances
• Theft and robbery
• Poisonings
• Power struggles among the nobility
• Inheritance and land disputes
• Conflicts between peasants and lords
• Secret conspiracies within the royal court
• Crimes involving rebellious princes and princesses

Some cases may begin as ordinary crimes, only to reveal secrets that threaten the future of the entire kingdom.

EXPLORE THE KINGDOM OF WESTMOOR

Travel through different regions of Westmoor and investigate a wide variety of locations:

• Grand castles
• Bustling marketplaces
• Small villages
• Large medieval towns
• Monasteries
• Inns and taverns
• Forest roads
• Dark cellars
• Noble estates
• Hidden rooms and secret passages

Every location contains clues waiting to be discovered and secrets waiting to be uncovered.

2–4 PLAYER CO-OP INVESTIGATIONS

Work together and divide the investigation among your team.

While one detective examines the crime scene, another can question witnesses, search nearby buildings, or follow a suspicious individual.

Communication and teamwork are essential. A seemingly insignificant detail discovered by one detective may become the missing piece that solves the entire case.

GATHER EVIDENCE AND RECONSTRUCT THE TRUTH

Search each location carefully and piece together what really happened.

• Examine physical evidence
• Read letters and official documents
• Discover hidden rooms and passages
• Pick locked doors and containers
• Investigate suspects’ backgrounds
• Compare witness statements
• Identify contradictions
• Reconstruct the timeline of events

The truth may be hidden in a single overlooked detail.

DELIVER YOUR VERDICT

At the end of every investigation, your team must make a decision.

Is your evidence strong enough? Have you identified the real culprit, or are you about to condemn an innocent person?

A wrong accusation may allow the true criminal to escape. Your decisions can affect not only the outcome of the case, but also the future of the Kingdom of Westmoor.

JUSTICE IS IN YOUR HANDS

Betrayal, greed, revenge, jealousy, and the hunger for power...

Everyone in Westmoor has something to hide.

Will you uncover the truth before it is too late?
