Construct terminals, runways, taxiways and aprons. Lay fuel pipelines and baggage conveyors underground, power everything up and connect your airport to the outside world with roads and tunnels.

• 3 runway sizes – Small, medium and large runways, each set for arrivals, departures or both – and temporarily closable when needed, just like terminals.
  
• 4 terminal tiers + interior design – From a basic terminal to a mega terminal. Fit out check-in desks, gates, security checkpoints, shops, duty-free, restaurants, lounges and restrooms, and give your terminals their own names.
  
• Real construction sites – New buildings go up on a construction site and take time to complete.

Flight Operations & Air Traffic

• Different aircraft classes – Small, medium and large passenger aircraft, cargo aircraft and private propeller planes, each with their own handling and runway length requirements.
  
• Tower & air traffic controllers – Three tower sizes determine how many aircraft you can handle at once; hire controllers to keep traffic moving.
  
• Realistic procedures – Aircraft taxi along your taxiways to their stands, dock at jet bridges, get pushed back by tugs, hold short of occupied runways and keep climbing after takeoff all the way to the horizon.
  
• Maintenance hangar – Aircraft taxi to your maintenance hangar for servicing – without one, there are no flights.
  
• Live flight board – Arrivals and departures on a flight board; the aircraft info window always shows where each plane is heading.
  
• Night flight ban – Optionally, flight operations rest from 11 pm to 6 am.

• Staff system – Build a staff center and hire fuelers, baggage and catering staff, ramp agents, cleaning and de-icing crews, technicians, customs officers, air traffic controllers and more.

• Administration – Your airport administration grows with you through several expansion stages.

Weather, Seasons & De-icing

• Dynamic weather – Snow, fog, storms and thunderstorms affect flight operations; in bad weather the ground glistens wet.
  
• Seasons – Spring, summer, autumn and winter take turns, each bringing its own weather.
  
• De-icing – When it snows, every aircraft – passenger, private and cargo – must be de-iced before takeoff. Build de-icing depots or operations grind to a halt.

• Fuel in liters – Realistic tank levels and consumption; the fuel price fluctuates randomly between roughly $4,000 and $12,000.
