About This Game

The bell rang. And everything fell.

In the 78th year of the Third Covenant, the red dragon Agnar's horde burned the monastery of Saint Guardian to the ground. As the last bell tolled over the ashes, five monks slipped out through a hidden passage — carrying not gold or relics, but seeds, ledgers, scripture, and a battered cooking pot.

The Five Monks is a settlement simulation about rebuilding a broken world. Lead the five survivors on a pilgrimage across the continent, gather the companions scattered far and wide, and raise a new sanctuary from the ashes.

One World, Endless Beginnings

  • World Generation — Shape a different continent every time with adjustable seeds, biomes, terrain noise, and POI density. No two journeys are ever the same.
  • Settle & Manage — Chop, mine, cook, and build. Watch over each monk's hunger, sleep, and morale — a community only survives if its people do.
  • Explore & Fight — Cursed forests, fallen cities, mountains under a dragon's shadow. Stand against the dark with a blessed hammer, healing light, and a staff of purification.

Raise What Was Lost

This is a journey not of conquest, but of inheritance. A story of people who build the bell tower before the wall, the shared granary before the vault, a single seed before a statue. The sanctuary you raise becomes a bell that tells every soul in need: the door is open.

Every Companion Has a Story

A guardian who stands at the front despite his fear. A healer who weighs a king's life and a beggar's on the same scale. A cook who fills an empty pot with water and waits for tomorrow. A keeper who guards spring with a single seed. And an elder who walks at the front when all others are lost. Dozens of companions join your journey, each carrying their own wounds and convictions. To gather companions is to gather their stories.

The Law of Saint Guardian

"The light exists to protect, and those who protect do not retreat — even if they are the last to stand."

The monastery has fallen. But as long as one who remembers the law still lives, Saint Guardian is not yet ended.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during the development of The Five Monks as follows:

- Illustrations, icons, and in-game object art: initial images were generated with AI tools, then revised and finalized by hand by the development team. These edited assets ship with the game.

- Creature and character concepts: AI outputs were used as visual reference only. The final in-game art was recreated from scratch by the development team to fit the game's art direction.

- Store page text: portions were drafted with AI assistance and then edited by the team.

The game's music was composed by the development team without generative AI.
