Why Early Access?

“I have decided to release Heavyweight Bout in Early Access because I want to create the best possible boxing simulation together with the community.

The core gameplay (career mode, training drills, fighting system) is already present, but I still have a lot of content and features I want to add and polish based on the feedback — new drills, more belts , custom fighter creation system, better AI and much more.

Early Access allows us me to develop the game faster and make sure the final version is exactly what boxing fans deserve.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At this moment I am expecting to be ready for final release around 6-12 months from now.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I am planning to add more fighting styles, more animations, custom fighter creation system, additional arenas, different training modes, advanced Single Fight system. I would like to add also more belts to game and improve the graphics in overall.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I have mostly ready fighting system, roost of around 20 fighters for Single Fight and Career. Career is rather very basic system but it already has progression system. Single Fights are available together with sparrings and there is already one training type. I implemented KO replays system although it needs to be refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features during Early Access. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am eager to listen to community opinions and I would like to develop my game according to their wishes as much it is possible. I will announce my development plans every time I will be closer to implement them and I will lead dialogue with people on Steam and other media.”
