About This Game

You know Hangman. The paper game where every wrong guess draws another piece of the hanged man. This is that game. Except the hanged man is YOU.

THE RITUAL

A word waits at the altar of an abandoned graveyard. Twenty-six letter stones lie scattered somewhere in the fog. Find the letters you believe in, carry them back with your own hands, and offer them one by one. Guess the word — the gate opens. Make seven mistakes — you hang.

THE VOICE LIES

Something watches you play. And it talks. It confirms your choices. It doubts them. It counts your mistakes — sometimes wrong. It knows when you came back, and it remembers what you did last time. It sounded honest once. You will never be sure which line was the lie.

SEVEN SINS, SEVEN CHAINS

Every word you solve is a sin you commit. The candles that are your lives change colour with it — violet for Pride, ash for Sloth. Something small walks the graveyard while you guess, and whispers the name of the sin you are committing right now. Seven chains hang on the gate. You will earn all of them, or the rope.

SUCCESS IS PUNISHED

This graveyard rewards failure with mercy and answers progress with darkness. Every word you solve drains light and warmth from the world. The better you play, the worse it gets. If everything around you has gone black and quiet — you are winning. Congratulations.
