What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is a strategy game focused primarily on competitive multiplayer gameplay. Online matches require a stable connection to game servers, and during Early Access we need to optimize and fine-tune the server infrastructure to ensure smooth performance and reliability for a large number of concurrent players.

Another important aspect is balancing and refining the gameplay mechanics, making sure that each faction is unique, balanced, and enjoyable to play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game already has a solid foundation and a fully playable core experience. I am currently working on expanding the roster with additional factions.

After that, the main focus will be on further balancing and polishing the gameplay mechanics. Based on the current development progress,

Fantasy Siege should be in early access by the end of October 2026.
I expect the game to leave Early Access later this year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to keep expanding Fantasy Siege throughout Early Access rather than
lock the game to a fixed feature list.

Our current plans include:
- Adding more playable factions to the roster
- Expanding the pool of maps
- Ongoing balance work across factions, units and technologies
- Continued polish and quality-of-life improvements

These are our intentions, not commitments — player feedback during Early
Access will shape what we prioritise, and some plans may change or be
replaced as the game develops.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently fully playable: up to four players can compete against each other in a free-for-all, or fight it out in team battles. Players can choose from three different factions. The game also supports matches against AI-controlled opponents, so players can practise and experience the gameplay without needing other human players.

Each faction has its own technology tree, unique units, heroes, abilities, upgrades and gameplay style. The core multiplayer experience is already available and functional.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will likely increase slightly after Early Access. We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in the continued development of the game. I plan to use player feedback and suggestions to improve gameplay balance, introduce new features, and guide future updates.”

About This Game

In Fantasy Siege, you take control of one of several unique fantasy races. Each race has its own units, heroes, buildings, spells, technologies, and other upgrades that will allow you to defeat your enemies in matches for up to 4 players. The game is an auto-battler. Your task isn’t to micromanage units, but to develop your base and choose the right upgrades. Each unit has its strengths and weaknesses, and using them correctly will help you gain an economic and military advantage over your opponent.

CHOOSE YOUR RACE

Five races, each with a completely different army, economy and feel. Three are playable right now, with more in development.

Kingdoms — Discipline and steel

Shieldmen, spearmen, knights on horseback, crossbows, cannons and battle mages, backed by priests who keep the line alive. The most flexible race in the game: strong armour upgrades, cheap technology, straightforward economy.

  • Every upgrade costs less — you can out-tech anyone

  • Healing support, solid frontline, reliable answers to most compositions

  • No single unit that wins on its own — you have to play the composition

Demons — Burn it all down

Imps, hellblades, fire throwers, succubi and hulking hell beasts pouring out of the Hell Gate. Demons trade safety for raw damage.

  • More durable units that can withstand blows

  • Heavy fire damage and advanced units accessible before others

  • Expensive and greedy

Undead — Numbers that never stop coming

Skeletons, zombies, ghouls, banshees and liches, led by necromancers who turn the dead into more dead. The Undead flood the lanes and win by attrition.

  • Cheap, expendable armies and free population — endless pressure

  • Second Rising: your camps can deploy twice for free

  • Individually fragile — lose the tempo and the swarm melts

Forest Wardens — coming during Early Access

Greenskins — coming during Early Access

GAMEPLAY

Build your base. Space is limited, so every plot is a decision:

  • Army buildings — training buildings that automatically deploy their unit, wave after wave. Each unit is unique and has its own strengths and weaknesses, so choose wisely.

  • Economy buildings — supplies and essence income. Greed early means a bigger army later, if you survive that long.

  • Special buildings — spells, curses, towers, hero taverns and race-specific structures that break the rules.

Fight over the lanes. Your units march along lanes toward the enemy fortress. Flag points across the map decide who pushes where — and taking one hands you the neutral buildings around it: gold mines, essence mines and healing stones. Map control is economy.

Upgrade constantly. Attack, armour, damage type resistances, unit technologies, fortress tiers, hero abilities. An upgraded basic unit beats an un-upgraded elite one — knowing when to tech and when to build is the whole game.

Lead your heroes. Each race has its own heroes with their own abilities that level up during the fight and can swing a losing lane alone.

HEROES

Every race fields its own heroes — unique champions with their own abilities that grow stronger as they fight. A well-timed hero can hold a collapsing lane on its own, and when one falls it returns to your fortress to recover instead of dying for good.

PROGRESS

Every battle you play earns experience for the race you played — win or lose, though winning pays a lot more.

That experience levels the race up, and every level permanently unlocks something new for it: a new training building and the unit it deploys, a new special building, a new spell, or a new technology upgrade. A level 1 race fields a bare-bones army. A level 10 race has its cavalry, its mages, its temples and its most powerful technologies available.

Progress is tracked per race — levelling the Kingdoms doesn’t level the Undead.

CREATE YOUR OWN RACE

Once you’ve levelled two races high enough, you can fuse them into a custom race of your own.

  • Pick two parent races. One is the primary, one the secondary.

  • Choose what you inherit. Take the units, training buildings, special buildings and spells you want from each side and merge them into a single army that doesn’t exist anywhere else.

  • Inherit racial bonuses. Your alliance keeps the primary race’s main bonus and the secondary race’s — so Demon armour scaling on a Kingdoms tech engine, or Undead swarms with demonic fire, is yours to assemble.

  • Fly your own banner. Name your race, pick its colours, its banner pattern and its emblem. That flag flies over your fortress, waves on the battlefield and recolours your whole army — everyone in the match sees who they’re fighting.
