About This Game

Originally released in 2007, Shady O'Grady's™ Rising Star is now available on Steam as a convenience to players that have wondered how to get ahold of the game that started it all.

Build a band, write songs, practice, buy equipment, level up, play gigs, become part of your local music scene, get a manager, get a recording contract, record albums, go on tour. If you're not familiar with Rising Star 2, you should also check out that game, which is a much more modern version of this one.

IMPORTANT!

This is a retro game that was designed when 32-bit Windows XP was current, and may have performance issues on some newer systems. Don't buy this game unless you're looking for an old-school gaming experience or you want to support Gilligames in general. Rising Star 2 is recommended if you are only looking for a band management game.

Anti-Virus False Positive

Some anti-virus programs will falsely flag older games built in BlitzBasic or Blitz3D as viruses. If you experience this, you will have to add the Band_Game.exe as an exception or disable realtime virus checking when playing.
