Why Early Access?

“Our team has been hard at work on this passion project and we are so thrilled to begin to share our progress with the gaming community. Everything in the art, audio and programming have been thoughtful and intentional decisions for making a memorable game. We have reached a place in development where the core of the game is in place, and while we continue working on finishing final touches on art and music, we want to invite players to start enjoying the thrill of high-speed hamster races!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our hope is to have a feature-complete game released no later than Q2 2027. This is a conservative estimate, being our first game released in Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of our game is the slightly slimmed down Work-In-Progress where players have access to all cups and tracks in their current state, e.g. all tracks exist for racing but the art isn't fully completed, the music isn't mixed, and there might be a strange bug or two (on occasion). The full version is slated to have four variations of background themes per cup, that having a unique musical arrangement. We're also planning to develop multiplayer features like player hosted lobbies, some character customization and include Steam leaderboards and achievements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are progressing well on finalizing background art, music production and general polish. We're also stress-testing performance and very excited to prove our mettle for what we've accomplished so far!

The Early Access version of the game includes seven cups and four tracks per cup. Each track is meant to have its own unique visual and musical variation. The Early Access version of the game does not yet feature all the art or musical variations as they will appear in their finished state.

Additionally, Early Access will not include character customization until a later update (we still need to flush out the player progression system, t.b.a.).

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Early Access adopters will find the game at a discounted price before the final launch of the game!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would love to invite our players to leave feedback and bug findings in the Steam Discussion board. Our small team will try our best to review and action on things that make for the best experience of our game!”
