A watch you don't have to wear

A dress watch is the one you put on when the day matters. This pack lends that same restraint to your desktop: a real mechanical face, hands moving smoothly, sitting on your wallpaper where a clock has no business being loud. No window, no tab, no notification — just the time, properly dressed.

Five dress faces

Once unlocked they appear in the face menu of DeskForge's clock widget, sorted by style — pick "Dress".

How it lives on your desktop

• The second hand sweeps. It glides the way a mechanical movement does, instead of ticking once a second.

• Any size you like. Scale it freely, from a small watch in the corner to something that fills half the desktop. The artwork is drawn at high resolution, so it stays sharp all the way up.

• As present or as faint as you want. Opacity from 30% to fully solid: a centrepiece on a bare wallpaper, or a ghost behind your icons.

• It stays behind everything. Pinned to the very back of the desktop, no taskbar entry, and clicking it never pulls focus out of what you're typing in. Works across multiple monitors.

• It costs nothing to run. Under 1% CPU and under 80 MB of memory in normal use — and it measures itself, so you can read the numbers in its own menu instead of taking our word for it.

Let them take turns

A collection you only look at one piece of is a collection you stop noticing. Pick a few favourites and the carousel rotates them for you — a new face anywhere from every minute to once a day, 30 minutes by default, in order or shuffled. Only faces you own enter the rotation, so it never shows you something you can't wear.

Change the strap, change the watch

The Watch Strap Pack adds 16 straps in leather, steel bracelet, rubber and NATO nylon. Lay one flat beneath the dial, or wrap it around the case in 3D. Any strap fits any of these five faces, and a rose-gold dress dial on black NATO reads nothing like the same dial on brown leather. Sold separately.
