Why Early Access?

“Hold Still is made by one developer, and Early Access is how I want to finish it. My goal is to build the remaining levels and monster types, expand the Versus mode, and tune the multiplayer while real players are in the game. Community feedback during Early Access will directly shape those decisions. I'm committed to continuing development, responding to bug reports, and seeing the game through to a complete 1.0 release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 12-24 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will add more single-player levels, several new monster types, and a more complete Versus mode with additional maps and options. I also plan to refine balance, controls, and multiplayer stability based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Both single-player modes are fully playable across seven maps, with more on the way. Private multiplayer lobbies are functional. The game is stable and complete enough to enjoy now, though some content and features are still being added.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will be increased when more content and features come online.”

About This Game


HOLD STILL is a first-person liminal horror game set in surreal, abandoned pool halls. You wander flooded galleries, tiled corridors, and rooms that don't quite connect. You are not alone in them.

The angels do not move while you look at them. Turn away, and they close the distance.

Three ways to play

Explore — The halls, empty and quiet. No threat, no timer. Walk the levels and take them in.

Hunt — The same halls, but the angels are awake. Alone or with friends, find the way out before they reach you.

Versus — One player explores. Up to four others play the angels and hunt them through the level. Get out, or get caught.
