A series of heavy machinery failures and steep-slope accidents began the moment demolition work started. Development was completely halted, leaving the former Inumaki Estate abandoned. This beautiful mansion, blending Japanese and Western architecture with traces of Taisho Roman style, became an untouched ruin after its last residents departed 20 years ago.

The "defilement" engulfing the estate is far too complex; exorcism through ordinary means is impossible—. Taking the situation seriously, the shrine maiden of Inumaki Shrine asks "you"—a specialized investigator of paranormal anomalies—to pinpoint the "target coordinates" required for exorcism.

Your job is NOT to exorcise the spirits. It is to "record" the inconvenient truths lingering there as processable digital data using various verification devices.

Staying in a room where phenomena are active will increase your Mental Contamination Level. As visual noise and heartbeats intensify, giving in to madness will cause you to lose consciousness before dawn (Game Over). Maintain your sanity, capture threats on camera, and bring back the data.

Recorded phenomena and discovered archives are compiled into a Verification Report. Gathering sufficient evidence advances you to the next investigation phase, unlocking new rooms and gradually revealing the history of the estate.
