About This Game

Magic blew the world to pieces, the survivors are doing their best, and every run you either try to make it a little better, or worse.

Explore 8 different and unique biomes, learn over 330 different magic skills across 13 elements that include Fire, Water, Tech, Psychic, and Holy magic, equip over 150 different charms that affect your skills, discover the arcana to help you out in a pinch, and manage your health and spell points though each act as resources are scarce. There are many different synergies to find, strategies to employ, and experience to gain with every run!

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO

• Fight turn-based battles with a limited set of magic skills that are replaced... this ain't no deckbuilder.

• Meet zany characters that help you along your way.

• Chart a branching route through battles, shops, taverns, and strange encounters.

• Evolve your class through the ALI system! Choose from 3 unique starting classes, then evolve into more than 15 different classes that build on your starter. These classes will only be available based on how you play the game though... If you're an evil bastard, you probably won't be able to be a Paladin!

• Collect powerful charms that will help you on your journey. Be careful though, you can only hold 5 at once. Difficult choices are ahead.

With over 150 charms, travel through the story carefully balancing your build. Use the shop to reroll and find what you need, paying in gold or blood. Some charms will help you gain much needed gold, some will help multiply your damage, some will help you survive, while some are just downright crazy and will change the game!

Carta Bellum features a beautifully hand drawn Tarot Deck that pays homage to my favorite games, I'm sure you'll be able to recognize some of them! Use these tarots in battle to help you in a pinch, strengthen your character, or to setup your build.
