HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THE WORLD'S CULTURES?

Guess the Origin is a fast-paced multiplayer party game that puts your cultural knowledge to the test. Each round shows you an image of a person in traditional dress, a cultural celebration, or a signature dish, and you have 15 seconds to guess where it's from.

TWO GAME MODES

Classic Mode. Guess the country from a list of options. Points for correct answers, bonus for speed.

Similar Neighbors. The hard mode. Choose between 4 culturally-adjacent countries. Can you tell a kimono from a hanbok? A Syrian dish from a Lebanese one? Every wrong guess teaches you something new.

PLAY TOGETHER

Challenge friends in private rooms with a shareable code, or dive into public quick match. Best of 10 rounds decides the winner. Every match ends with a cultural note revealing what you just learned.

LEARN WHILE YOU PLAY

Every correct answer unlocks a short cultural note explaining what you were looking at. From ceremonial Japanese furisode kimonos to Lebanese dabke wedding dress, leave each match a little wiser than when you started.

GROWING WITH YOU

Free post-launch updates will add:

- Food Mode. Guess the country from traditional dishes

- Reverse Mode. Pick the correct country from 4 images

- World Map guess mode. Drop a pin instead of picking from a list

- Daily Challenges. One shared puzzle for everyone in the world

- Community submissions. Upload traditional imagery from your own culture

Some in-game images, depicting traditional dress, festivals, food, and cultural artifacts, were created using an AI image generation pipeline (Google Gemini through an automated workflow). Every generated image was reviewed, curated, and approved by the developer before it was added to the game. No AI content is generated live during gameplay.
