Why Early Access?

“GLANCED is a game you play with friends—and a game like this takes shape WITH its players, not before them. The multiplayer meta, class balance, and pacing of fear can only truly be fine-tuned through actual gameplay. The games that defined the genre (Lethal Company, Content Warning, Phasmophobia) all started in Early Access for the same reason. We want the game’s evolution to be dictated by the people who play it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

““About 6 to 12 months. We're aiming for version 1.0 once the full 9-gate track, level verticality, and community editor are in place, and multiplayer is balanced. We'd rather release it out of Early Access when it's ready rather than on a set date.””

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“"Version 1.0 will add: the full difficulty curve (all 9 gates), hand-drawn vertical levels (basement, attic, stairs—designed by an architect), character selection, more multiplayer modes and game sizes, a level editor with Workshop, full controller support (Steam Deck), cutscenes, and a collection to unlock as you play. The Early Access version is already fully playable; version 1.0 expands its depth and content."”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“"Playable and streamable now: single-player mode (infiltrating a house haunted by porcelain dolls whose gaze freezes you in your tracks), multiplayer mode (a two-team race where being spotted turns you into a doll), 12 languages, customizable controls, and spectator mode. This is a solid, finished version—not a prototype.””

““Yes. The Early Access price is lower—it's our way of thanking players who join us early and help shape the game. The price will go up when the 1.0 release comes out.””

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

““A closed playtest, followed by feedback from the demo (Next Fest, Halloween), then votes on build priorities during early access, a Discord channel for reporting bugs and sharing ideas, and most importantly, a LEVEL EDITOR with Workshop: the community literally builds the game’s houses. The best creations are added to the base game.””

Ahh. You found the van. They always find the van.

Quick, I haven't got all night, the accordion's busted agaaain, so here's the deal:

There's a house full of porcelain dolls. They don't move. Most of them. One wears a key on her cold little neck. You need it to leave. And if her eyes meet yours for one single second, your body isn't yours anymore. You go quiet. You go porcelain. You join the collection.

So don't. Meet. Her. Gaze.

Nine doors. One key. Far too many eyes.

Infiltrate. Bring friends. Please bring friends, because some of the dolls are them. Two little teams of ghosts, both clawing for the same key, both one blink from the shelf. When your idiot friend gets caught you'll hear him howling in the dark. Oh, they can still talk, that's the best part, so go dig him out. Or don't. Only one team walks out of the manor tonight.

It isn't hard. It's just unfair.
