What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Railway Dispatcher Pro is an ambitious take on a niche, deeply systemic genre — commanding an entire rail line in real time. Early Access lets us put it in players' hands early, learn how people actually approach dispatching and where the interface and difficulty need work, and grow the game's content and systems together with the community rather than in isolation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to keep the game in Early Access for roughly six months to a year. This may change depending on player feedback and how development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning to expand the full version well beyond the Early Access build. Areas we are aiming to work on include additional lines and stations, more scenarios and timetables, a wider variety of delays and disruptions to respond to, more operations-management tools, and overall balance and quality-of-life improvements. We are also considering support for more languages. These plans may change based on what we learn during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is already playable end to end. You oversee an entire line from an overhead view, build and preview planned timetables in Diagram mode, and take command in Play mode — clearing routes, running trains, and carrying out real-time operations management such as rerouting, adjusting stop times, turning trains back, holding, handing operations over, and relinking services, while responding to delays as they arise, with adjustable time speed and save/load. It currently includes one line (Sendai Chihou Railway Main Line, 13 stations), two timetables (Easy and Standard), and a Japanese-only interface.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access, as we add content and features. Buying during Early Access will be the lower-priced way to support development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to develop this game together with its players. We will read feedback, feature requests, and bug reports on the Steam Community Hub and discussions, and use them to guide difficulty balancing, interface improvements, and which lines, scenarios, and features to work on next. Telling us how you dispatch and where you get stuck is the most valuable help you can give.”

About This Game

Railway Dispatcher Pro puts you in the commander's seat of an entire rail line. Take in the whole network from above, set routes, clear signals, and keep every train moving — this is Centralized Traffic Control (CTC), the way real dispatchers run a railway.

It is the operations-management evolution of Railway Dispatcher: not just watching the CTC board, but actually running the line — rerouting, holding, turning trains back, and rebuilding the timetable on the fly when things go wrong.

Command the Whole Line — CTC Dispatch

See every station, signal, and train on a single overhead view. Set routes and clear signals across the network, guiding the entire timetable rather than a single station.

Real-Time Operations Management

When a train falls behind, act live: change routes and platforms, adjust dwell times, turn trains back, hold them, hand an operation over to another set, or relink services. Every change is reflected on the diagram instantly.

Incident Response

Delays and disruptions ripple across the line. Read the situation and re-plan on the fly to keep services running.

Authentic Signals & Interlocking

The block-signaling and interlocking foundation of Railway Dispatcher, now at line scale. Clear the right route for each train under realistic constraints.

Plan, Then Command

Two modes: build and preview your planned timetable in Diagram mode, then take command in Play mode with save/load and live incidents. Control the flow of time with adjustable speed.

Easy to Start, Deep to Master

Approachable even if you have never touched a signaling system — and deep enough to keep rail fans chasing a perfect on-time record.

Early Access Content

・Line: Sendai Chihou Railway Main Line — 13 stations (fictional)

・Timetables: 1

・Language: Japanese (in-game text is Japanese only)

During Early Access we will expand lines, scenarios, and operations-management features.
