Why Early Access?

“MutantTide is fully playable and content complete, but I'm a solo developer and I want to shape the game's balance and future content with the community that plays it. Early Access lets players jump in now while I use their feedback to tune difficulty, balance the 10 characters and 20 weapons, fix issues across different hardware, and decide which new content to add next. The deep sea horde survival experience is best refined with real players fighting the swarm.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to be in Early Access for roughly 3 to m6onths. The game is already feature complete and stable, so this window is primarily for balance tuning, bug fixing, and adding content based on player feedback before the full 1.0 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to build on the complete experience available today. I plan to expand the roster with additional characters and weapons, add new stages and enemy types, deepen the bestiary and meta-progression, and refine balance based on community feedback. I also plan to pursue Steam Deck Verified status and add quality of life improvements that players request. The core game is here now, the full version aims to grow its variety and polish.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is feature complete and fully playable from start to finish. It includes 10 playable characters, 20 weapons with elemental infusion and evolution systems, multiple stages, local co-op and Remote Play Together, deep meta progression, 34 achievements, Steam leaderboards, and a full bestiary. This is a complete, polished survival experience. Early Access is about refining and expanding it, not building missing core system”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. I plan to gradually raise the price as I add new content and features and as the game moves toward its full 1.0 release. Players who buy during Early Access will get the game at its lowest price and receive all future updates at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'm developing MutantTide as a solo developer, so community feedback is central to how the game grows. I plan to gather input through the Steam Community forums where players can report bugs, suggest new characters and weapons, and voice opinions on what to add next. I'll use player feedback to guide balance changes, difficulty tuning, and content priorities, and I plan to share regular update posts about what's coming. The players fighting the swarm will directly shape where the game goes.”

Descend into the Deep

The tide brought something back. Beneath the waves, the water churns with mutated horrors and you're the only thing standing between the surface and the swarm. MutantTide is a deep sea horror bullet heaven: survive relentless waves of nightmarish sea-creatures, harvest their remains, and evolve into an unstoppable engine of destruction before the abyss swallows you whole.
