Why Early Access?

“We want to expand the story, add new mechanics and improve the game with player feedback. Early Access gives us the time to develop these parts while players can experience the game and follow its progress.”

“We currently expect Early Access to last around 6 months. This may change depending on the development process and the scope of the new content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the story with new chapters and locations, while adding new gameplay mechanics, mysteries and areas to explore. The overall scope of the game will be significantly larger than the current Early Access version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version contains the beginning of the story, the village, the mansion, exploration, puzzles, the afterlife and the main mystery. It represents the foundation of the full game, with more story and gameplay content planned.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to gradually increase the price as we add more story, mechanics and content. By the time we reach the planned scope of the full version, we expect the price to be around twice the Early Access price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to listen to player feedback throughout Early Access and use it to improve the game. Player feedback will help us identify issues, improve existing mechanics and shape future content.”

Village of the Mirror is a first-person psychological horror game that blends Japanese and Anatolian folklore.

Explore the village, search the old mansion and its surroundings, and follow the traces left behind by those who came before you. As you dig deeper, you'll discover that the boundary between the real world and the afterlife may not be as distant as you thought.

The current version is the beginning of your journey into the village, the afterlife, and the mysteries hidden within them.

Future updates will bring new story chapters, locations, afterlife areas, mysteries, and gameplay content as development continues.

We'll keep expanding the world and story over time, while also taking player feedback into account.

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains horror themes, depictions of blood, corpses, and disturbing scenes. Some areas contain blood and hanging bodies with no visible facial details. A humanoid creature and other supernatural horror elements may also appear later in the game. The game does not contain sexual content, nudity, or drug use.
