Plot

Will you be able to survive the descent? Follow Theo, a ball-like creature, and his group of kid friends as they explore the colossal world-tree that has grown to occupy most of the world through a series of challenges that will test not only their survival skills, but also their own sanity.

Characters

Theo: A ball-like creature who acts as the protagonist for Seeds of Pain. He's calm and level-headed, often acting as the group's leader. Seems to have ties to the World Tree.

Monica: Vulnerable but caring young girl. She is the emotional core of the group. Her main weakness is how easy she is to scare. Nonetheless, she can be courageous if her friend's wellbeing depends on it.

Andre: Hot-headed and impulsive young boy. He is the arm of the group, being the most physically strong and brave. He has an ongoing rivalry with Victor.

Victor: Sickly but extremely intelligent child. He has a knack for inventions and science. Lately, he's been very immersed in understanding the Tree, and his dream is to, one day, be able to visit it. But even he doesn't really know what happens down there...

Gameplay

Most of the game is text-driven, but Theo will have to make difficult choices to be able to save everybody, including a fair share of resource management decisions.

Theo's group's main resource will be their fear. Too much of it, and they'll succumb to the dangers, too little, and they'll rush into it head-on. You'll have to keep track of your fear meter, as well as your 'heart', the resource you need for talking to your friends, as well as your 'experience', which will be necessary to explore further down the Tree.

Try to mantain a balance by navigating the various challenges, and talk to your friends to mantain the harmony in their group. Will everybody survive? That depends solely on you.
