Builds are not defined by your profession. Skills make the hero, and your profession determines how easily you train. A wizard with a maul? A warrior who dabbles in spells? A bard capable of picking any lock in the realm? Anything is possible with discipline and sacrifice. The choices are yours.

The Passage of Time

The continent of Vaelthara is vast, and traversing its terrain and surrounding seas takes time. Precious days, months and years. Your character will grow old and die. The ravages of age are apparent to all who cheat the death Vaelthara would otherwise dispense.

Crime and Punishment

Not all ways of seeking your fortune are law-abiding. Lucrative, but risky. If you're caught, you'll spend time in the slammer or worse. Real time your character won't get back. But bank robberies, smuggling runs, piracy and other darker pursuits can be rewarding in ways more valuable than coin.

Not all adventurers seek blood or glory. Build your fortune as a merchant. Prices that fluctuate and a variety of wares as vast as the continent itself. Spices, exotic ores, pearls, gemstones, and more. Starting out on foot, you may command a caravan of pack horses or an armada of trade ships.
