What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Wonderful Wizard Reverie combines a large adventure campaign with farming, exploration, progression, home and pet systems, and local co-op. Early Access lets us release a substantial playable version while working directly with players on balance, controls, pacing, accessibility, performance, and polish. Feedback from different play styles and PC configurations will help us shape the strongest version 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Wonderful Wizard Reverie to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This estimate may change as we evaluate player feedback and the work required for version 1.0.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to improve balance, progression pacing, onboarding, controller and local co-op usability, performance, stability, accessibility, and presentation across the existing adventure, Wilds farming, home, pet, quest, and shop systems. We also plan to refine content and quality based on community feedback. Version 1.0 is intended to provide a more polished, stable, and cohesive experience; specific plans may evolve during development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is planned to include the core playable game: the World of Reverie hub; the Kingdom of Dreams Wilds with farming, fishing, foraging, crafting, restoration, and seasonal days; the adventure campaign with 200 levels across multiple biomes and bosses; quests, shops, equipment, and progression; Reverie's home and pet systems; and local shared/split-screen co-op. Players should expect bugs, balance changes, interface and performance improvements, and possible adjustments to progression during development. We intend to preserve save compatibility where practical, but significant changes may require save adjustments.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Early Access at a lower base price and raise the base price when the game reaches version 1.0. Existing owners will receive version 1.0 without an additional purchase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will use Steam Discussions, update announcements, and player reports to gather feedback on bugs, balance, controls, accessibility, performance, progression, and co-op. We plan to share development updates, explain meaningful changes, and prioritize recurring issues while keeping the game's creative direction coherent.”

About This Game

Wonderful Wizard Reverie weaves two games into one storybook world: a cozy farming, fishing, and home-decorating life sim, and a physics-based spell-casting adventure with 200 hand-crafted levels and a boss battle every ten of them. Play at your own pace — tend your crops in the morning, topple monster towers in the afternoon, and end every day tucked into bed beside your Star Kitten.

The Story

Reverie is a young wizard with purple hair, a grey cape, and a wand full of strange magic. A storybook prologue carries her to the World of Reverie — a warm little town of shopkeepers, scholars, and secrets — with the wild Kingdom of Dreams on one side and the Adventure Gate on the other. As she grows from apprentice into a true wizard, she will befriend the whole town, face her hostile rival Dolly, and slowly uncover the truth about her mother, the legendary wizard Light.

Farm and Explore the Kingdom of Dreams Wilds

An open, hand-painted farming and exploration world of six connected biomes — heartland meadows, deep jungle, a tidal shore, glowing caverns, a misty marsh, and a volcanic caldera — 36 areas in all. Clear wild growth, till and water magical crops, raise farm animals, forage rare finds, and fish waters whose catches change with the hour, weather, season, and your luck. Process goods in machines, cook meals that grant real buffs, restore broken places to open the way forward, and help the keepers you meet along the route. The Wilds run on their own living clock: 28-day seasons, weather, day and night, weekly shop closures, and three recurring festivals — and nothing is ever missable.

Aim, Charge, and Cast

Through the Adventure Gate waits a 200-level campaign of physics-puzzle spell combat. Drag to aim and time your release on the charge gauge to arc magic spheres into monster-filled structures — topple towers, chain multi-kill combos, dodge and duck incoming attacks, hit drifting sky clouds for bonus loot, and fight a boss at the end of every biome. Act 2 twists all ten biomes into dark mirror versions of themselves, and after level 200 the Endless Reverie mode scales forever, with a depth leaderboard to climb. Eleven collectible artifacts change how every shot behaves: venom blooms, magnet pulls, freezing trails, fireworks, wind, fire, sun and sea magic, explosive berries, and giant shots.

A Town Full of Friends

The World of Reverie hub holds 17 walkable locations — shops, a cafe with a daily menu, a magic library, a research lab, a collection gallery, an achievement hall, and more. Build friendship hearts with 32 named characters by chatting, completing requests, and joining festival days; every bond earns milestone rewards, and a few relationships take a darker turn. A unified quest journal tracks goals across the whole game, and the Collection Gallery keeps a codex of every monster, boss trophy, wand, outfit, seed, and memory you discover.

Home, Sweet Home

Decorate Reverie's walkable home room by room with free-form furniture placement, then raise a Star Kitten from egg to winged companion through daily care and mini-games. A well-loved pet follows you everywhere — even into battle, where its Guardian Bond can block incoming attacks.

Grow Stronger Your Way

There is no single XP bar. Level four skills — Magic, Cooking, Farming, and Fishing — each to 100, and spend Star Points on constellation perks. Read 25 Knowledge Books that unlock real abilities, from crop info plaques to legendary fish to overcharged SUPER shots. Collect wands, 11 outfits with painted transformation sequences, stat accessories, and 8 permanent upgrade tracks at the Research Lab. Every adventure run is seeded and every campaign level is deterministic, so mastery is always fair.

Play Together

Play solo, or in local split-screen co-op for up to four wizards — Reverie, Nyx, Moss, and Luma, each with a distinct perk. Every player keeps their own coins, gear, quests, progression, and bedroom; the farm, clock, and calendar are shared, and a new day begins only when everyone sleeps.
