What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build Riftslayer together with the community instead of developing the entire game in isolation.

The current version already offers a solid and playable foundation, but there are still many areas we want to expand, including additional maps, characters, bosses, game modes, synergies, customization options and progression systems.

Early Access allows us to gather feedback while these systems are still being developed. This gives players the opportunity to influence balancing, priorities, new content and the overall direction of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Riftslayer to stay in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months.

That is only an estimate. The timeline may change depending on feedback, development progress and how much I decide to add before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have more content, more variety and better (finished) balancing.

This may include:

- More weapons and perks
- Additional maps
- New enemies and bosses
- More build combinations
- Expanded progression
- Improved visuals, sound and performance
- General balancing and polish

These plans may evolve during Early Access based on development progress and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version already includes the main gameplay foundation.

Players can currently choose between three playable classes, explore three maps, use more than 20 abilities and more than 10 weapons, create different builds, interact with the Rift system and compete through the Highscore system.

The main combat and progression loop is playable, but the game is still being actively developed. Content variety, balancing, progression, user interface elements and other systems may be expanded, changed or reworked during Early Access.

Bugs, performance issues and unfinished elements may still occur. You can report any bug in the main menu by clicking on: "Bug report".”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Riftslayer is planned to launch in Early Access at a lower price.

We currently plan to increase the price as substantial new content and features are added and the game approaches version 1.0.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord server will be the main place for direct communication with the community.

Players will be able to share suggestions, report issues and discuss topics such as weapons, abilities, build combinations, difficulty, progression, maps, characters and future features.

Feedback may influence which areas are prioritized, how existing systems are adjusted and which ideas are developed further.

We also plan to use patch notes, development updates and public testing where appropriate to keep the community informed and gather feedback on upcoming changes before they reach the main version.”

About This Game

Enter the Rift. Slay the hordes. Break the build.

Riftslayer is a fast-paced 3D action roguelite built around one simple idea:

Start weak. Build something ridiculous. Survive the chaos... if you can.

Fight through massive waves of enemies, collect experience, choose upgrades, and turn a simple character into an increasingly destructive build.

More projectiles. Faster attacks. Bigger areas. Shorter cooldowns. Stronger effects.

Every upgrade pushes the run further toward complete chaos.

Build Something Overpowered

Combine weapons, abilities, and perks to create powerful synergies.

A build that starts with a few basic attacks can quickly evolve into a screen-filling machine of projectiles, explosions, area effects, and rapid-fire abilities.

There is no single correct build.

Experiment, stack effects, and find combinations that completely change how your run plays.

Fight Massive Hordes

The longer you survive, the more pressure the game throws at you.

Enemy numbers increase. Elites join the fight. Bosses force you to reposition. Attacks begin filling the battlefield.

Keep moving, keep upgrading, and try to stay ahead of the escalation.

Keep the Combo Alive

Kill enemies quickly to build your combo and push it higher and higher.

Maintaining a massive combo means staying aggressive and continuously finding new targets.

Lose momentum and the streak ends.

How far can you push it?

Push Deeper Into the Rift

The Rift is designed for players who want to keep pushing beyond a normal run.

Difficulty continues to increase as enemies become more dangerous and the pressure keeps rising.

Go deeper, chase better results, and find out where your build finally breaks.

Death Does Not Always Mean the End

Some runs can continue beyond defeat.

Accept a Curse and keep fighting under increasingly dangerous conditions in exchange for the chance to push your score even further.

Sometimes surviving longer means making the run worse on purpose.

Progress Beyond a Single Run

Your progress does not end when the run does.

Unlock new options, improve your long-term progression, increase your Prestige, and return stronger with more ways to build your next character.

Face Bosses and Elite Enemies

Regular hordes are only part of the threat.

Powerful elites and bosses break up the battlefield and force you to adapt your movement and build instead of simply standing still and watching enemies disappear.

Chase Better Runs

Riftslayer is built around replayability.

Try different builds.

Push higher combos.

Reach deeper Rift levels.

Improve your score.

Find stronger synergies.

Then start again and see how much further you can push the next run.
