Why Early Access?

“The Early Access version of Survive the Horde is already a complete, fully playable game with a complete gameplay loop, progression system, and core experience. We are choosing Early Access not because the game is unfinished, but because we want to refine and expand it together with our community before the full release. The EA version will include four carefully designed maps, each offering a complete gameplay experience. Player feedback will help us improve balance, expand gameplay systems, and add more maps, weapons, enemies, and progression content, resulting in a larger and even better full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 6–18 months. The exact duration will depend on development progress and community feedback. Our goal is not simply to leave Early Access as quickly as possible, but to ensure that the full release delivers significantly more content and the highest quality experience possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already delivers a complete gameplay experience, while the full release will significantly expand the game’s overall scope. We plan to introduce additional maps, weapons, defensive structures, enemy and boss types, progression paths, game modes, and more content to explore. We will also continue improving balance, performance, and the overall gameplay experience. Simply put, Early Access is a complete game with a focused scope, while the full release will offer substantially more content and replayability.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the complete core gameplay experience. Players can enjoy the full combat loop, progression system, defensive building mechanics, weather system, and all content across four maps. Future updates will primarily focus on expanding content, refining gameplay, improving balance, and optimizing performance.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The game will be available at a lower price during Early Access. As more content is added and the game reaches its full release, we plan to increase the price accordingly. Players who support us during Early Access will not only experience the game’s evolution firsthand, but will also receive the complete game at a better value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our community is an essential part of the development of Survive the Horde. We will actively gather feedback through the Steam Community, Discord, and other social platforms, listening to player suggestions on gameplay, balance, weapons, maps, enemies, and the overall experience. About This Game

The Horde has consumed humanity’s last line of defense.

An unknown virus has swept across the globe. Cities have fallen, and civilization has collapsed. As a newly deployed operative, you are sent to the front lines of the infected zones, armed with weapons, tactical equipment, and defensive structures to protect humanity’s final hope against endless waves of the undead.

Survive the Horde blends First-Person Shooter (FPS), Roguelite progression, and Tower Defense mechanics into a fast-paced survival experience.
