About This Demo

HR.SOS is a two-layer automation management puzzle game.

As HR, your job is to repair broken departments and restore productivity.

As CEO, your goal is to expand the company, optimize profits, and build a thriving business empire.

After all, the company needs to get back on its feet.

The CEO just wants the numbers to keep going up.

Maybe you've always dreamed of becoming a great CEO.

Or maybe...

The board of directors just needed someone to take the blame.

Either way, by the time you take over, the company has already ground to a complete halt.

Production lines have stopped.

Departments blame each other for everything.

Employees are surviving almost entirely on coffee.

And you—

A self-proclaimed business genius armed with management theory, marketing knowledge, and macroeconomics—

Will soon discover one brutal truth.

You actually have no idea what you're doing.

Fortunately...

You still have HR.

Or rather—

HR, SOS!

Congratulations! You're the company's new HR.

The bad news? The entire company has ground to a halt. The worse news? You're the only one who can fix it.

Every department is a broken machine. Every Post is waiting for someone to bring it back to life.

Investigate each department, understand your employees, reorganize the workflow, and piece this collapsing company back together.

With the help of your cheerful guide, it's time for your very first day on the job.

Every post serves a unique purpose.

The Handler handles recipes. The Sorter filters documents. The Reviewer sends unfinished work back for revision. They may look like ordinary office desks, but remove just one of them, and the entire department grinds to a halt.

Workflows don't build themselves.

Posts need to be connected to build a complete workflow. Files enter from one side, get processed, and leave from another.

But every Post has limited connections and storage space. Once it gets overloaded, extra files will simply fall onto the floor then becoming trashes.

Some employees are obsessive neat freaks.Some... somehow enjoy body odor.Conveniently, someone in the office smells terrible.

Every employee comes with their own abilities, personalities, and eccentricities.

They won't organize themselves.

That's your job.

The CEO certainly won't care what it took to get the job done.

As the CEO, you finally leave the day-to-day chaos behind.

Start by producing your very first Source File.

Earn your first bucket of gold.

Purchase automation equipment.

Leave all those management headaches to HR.

Simply deploy the departments your HR team has optimized, connect transportation routes, distribute resources, expand your industries, accumulate wealth, and build your own corporate empire.

Your company is only one piece of a much bigger business world.

Trade with neighboring companies to acquire rare resources, or take advantage of struggling competitors through corporate warfare.

Expand your market, Acquire their land, Grow your empire.

Business is about cooperation.

It's also survival of the fittest.

Every playthrough generates a brand-new corporate world.

New resources, New markets, New competitors waiting to be acquired.

Your company never truly reaches the end.

It just keeps getting bigger.

Ironically, the larger your company becomes...

The less work you actually have to do.

That's capitalism.

Every improvement made by HR reduces construction costs and increases operational efficiency in the CEO phase.

Every expansion made by the CEO creates new challenges for HR to solve.

Switch constantly between the microscopic chaos of managing people...

...and the macroscopic satisfaction of managing an automated system.

Build a company that eventually runs itself.

Because in the end—

Human Resources are, after all, just another kind of resource.
