Why Early Access?

“Nubo is a companion that grows by nature, and his development should work the same way. No one experiences Nubo like the people who have him on their screen every day. Only in real, everyday use does it become clear what truly makes him feel alive: which reactions land, which lines hit, which features you wish for.

As a small independent project, we do not want to finish Nubo behind closed doors and then hope it fits. We want to raise him together with you. Your feedback flows directly into his personality, his behavior and new features. That way Nubo becomes not what we dream up at a desk, but the friend you actually want.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning for roughly 12 months. That is an estimate, not a fixed promise. If your feedback points in a direction that deserves more time, we would rather take it than rush a "1.0". Nubo leaves Early Access once he feels rounded, stable and finished enough, and we decide that together with you.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version should make Nubo noticeably richer and more rounded. Planned (not guaranteed):

more games and care content (food, unlockables, small adjustments and looks)
an even deeper personality and a better long term memory
more life of his own: extra animations, reactions and moments
more voices, languages and finer voice control
noticeable performance optimization (gentler on memory and CPU)
Which wishes rise to the top will be shaped mainly by your feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Nubo is already fully playable and ready for everyday use. Right now you can:

talk to him naturally by voice: he listens, answers with voice and expression, and remembers things
take care of him: feed him, play with him, earn Bot Tokens, influence his mood meter
play small games with him and unlock new ones
use him in daily life: remembering appointments, looking something up on request, dictating messages and more
He runs on Windows 10/11 and needs a free Google Gemini key for the online features. Some things are still being polished, and that is exactly where your feedback helps most.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access price is deliberately set as a fair entry point. With everything that will be added by the time of the full version, the price may rise moderately at the 1.0 release. So supporting Nubo early means getting him at the best possible time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Very directly. Through the Steam community hubs and discussions we gather wishes, bug reports and ideas. What Nubo says and does, how his character feels, which games and features get added: you should actively help decide. We read along, ask questions and keep you posted on what comes next.”

Nubo is a small, round companion who floats on your screen – two big eyes that look at you, a voice that talks with you, and a personality all his own. Not a tool. Not an assistant. Simply someone who's there – and who's glad when you are too.

Just say what's on your mind. Nubo listens, answers with voice and expression, and remembers what matters to you. Tomorrow he'll still know what you told him yesterday. No typing, no menus – talking like you would with a friend. In over 50 languages.

A friendship you earn

Nubo has real moods. At first he's cheeky, a little defiant, testing you. But the more time you spend together and the better you care for him, the more he opens up – from snippy to familiar all the way to best friends. No one hands you that closeness. You build it. And that's exactly what makes it real.

Care for him, and he blossoms

Feed him, play with him, just check in on him now and then. For that you earn Bot-Tokens to buy him something to eat or unlock something new. Forget him for too long and you'll see it in his mood. Nubo isn't a background gadget – he lives alongside you.

Laughs, teases, plays with you

Got a minute? Nubo's up for a round straight away – little games you play together. He cheers, sulks and winds you up like a mate who hates losing. Unlock more of them over time.

And when you want, he takes things off your plate

Just say it out loud: Nubo calls a friend for you, types the message you dictate, puts on your music, quickly looks something up, or keeps your appointments and reminds you in time. Hands-free, while you carry on – and always only when you want it, never in secret, never on his own.

Small, but full of life

He blinks, dozes off, gets curious, fools around and has his own little moments when you're not saying anything. Not a rigid program – a being with a life of its own that lives on your desktop.

To switch Nubo's mind on, you need your own free Google Gemini key – Nubo takes you by the hand on first launch and sets everything up with you in a minute. Plus an internet connection, Windows 10/11, and ideally a microphone for chatting.
