“The early access state, as is, is a remake of the gamejam version, MEATBALL Classic. It has a bunch of new content not present before in any other iteration. It's beatable start to finish as a singleplayer game and includes a variety of achievements.
It will stay in early access as we shape 2.0 into a fully-fledged, expanded campaign.

About This Game

MEATBALL THE MITE is an exploration-based platforming game where you play as MEATBALL!

 

Hatched in the bowels of a long decomposed carcass,

MEATBALL the MITE hitches a moldy ride and floats his way to what he thinks is his fresh, new home!

Unfortunately for MEATBALL, he's in over his head and it's too late. 

...Unless he can grow strong enough!

In this early access version, you can experience...

  • Play a from-the-ground-up remake of the 12-day gamejam original with CLASSIC HD!

  • MAJOR visual and gameplay improvements and additions to improve the flow!

  • Fight hostile bacteria and explore through 7 AREAS of a surreal ecosystem inspired by the Metroid series!

What's going on in the world of MEATBALL THE MITE..?

Wherever we are, it's gross. I don't like it here.

Multiple areas await. Don't be afraid.

The environment seems hostile. Thankfully, you've got the means to EVOLVE and FIGHT.

There are some nasty enemies about. You'll have to use the various skills gathered in your quest to squash them all.

Friendly folks? At least it's safe somewhere.

Shop for ATTACK and HEALTH upgrades in various locations using tasty bits of LARD found throughout the world of MEATBALL THE MITE.

Terrifying threats are abound. You'll have to explore every nook and cranny to make sure you're up for the task.

We plan to update MEATBALL THE MITE throughout the following months of its release. New game modes, abilities, maps, and mechanics are in store. With all the improvements coming to MEATBALL THE MITE, you'll need a couple-dozen petri dishes to carry 'em all.

For now, STUDIO HEATSEEK is bringing you an early access taste-test before we evolve MEATBALL THE MITE's CLASSIC experience into an expanded and extended CAMPAIGN mode.
