What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Because Arcane Forge is still being developed — not just tested. Many systems are in the game so we can try them with you, but none of that is set in stone: gold curves, prestige requirements, skill pacing, combat rewards, and UI can change fundamentally based on your feedback. Early Access is where you help steer direction — which systems we deepen, which we simplify, and what content ships next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6–12 months, depending on how much changes through community feedback. We will leave Early Access when we reach the shared 1.0 goals — not when “everything is already there,” but when design, balancing, and scope feel right for us and the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“What may still change or be added before 1.0 (examples — priority set by community feedback):

• Balancing & economy: gold/s, contract costs, prestige gates, endgame pacing — formulas and numbers will keep shifting; patches may noticeably change how your run feels (no save reset)
• Systems: mastery branches, trade contracts, offline rules, combat rewards — rework or simplification is possible if players report pain points
• Content: more music tracks (2 today, goal 8), expanded SFX, additional dungeon events, and possibly new actions, buildings, or achievements
• UI/UX: layout, tutorials, tooltips, readability — may look and play quite different from today
• Languages: DE/EN today; more languages after 1.0

What 1.0 means: a settled, stable package after the EA phase — no pay-to-win, no mandatory purchases. Saves carry over, even if individual values or mechanics changed along the way.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A development snapshot to play along with, not a release candidate. You will find skills, research, buildings, prestige, combat, gold economy, offline progress, Steam achievements, and leaderboards (DE/EN). It may look broad, but it is not final: balancing, audio (only 2 music tracks), UI, and individual mechanics will change. Expect regular patches that adjust formulas and QoL — that is intentional in this phase.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No — the price will not change during Early Access. When we release version 1.0, we plan a modest increase to reflect the added music, expanded balancing, and UI polish shipped by then. Early Access buyers keep the game at their purchase price — there is no extra charge to access the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Steam Discussions are our main channel for direction decisions: What feels too slow? Which system is unclear? What is missing? Reviews and saves help us set priorities — whether we tackle balancing, UI, new events, or whole mechanics next. We fix bugs quickly with repro steps and save files; larger changes are announced in patch notes before they go live.”

About This Game

Early Access

Arcane Forge is a deep idle RPG in Early Access — fully playable and actively updated. Balancing and details may still shift; your feedback shapes what comes next.

Over the long run, three prestige cycles and 21 pacts await you. Early Access starts with Cycle I — Seal: seven pacts, the endzone The Fallen Empire, and the First Smith as the climax. Cycle II — Awakening and Cycle III — Convergence follow in future updates — included with your purchase.

The smithy of a fallen empire

Your forge was once the heart of a mighty realm. Today: ruins, ash — and the memory of alloys that shaped the world. In Arcane Forge, you rebuild the greatest smithy in fantasy. Progress continues even while you're offline.

Pick actions, gather resources, level skills, and expand production — from wood and coal through ores and alloys to essence, moonstone, and the World Soul. Gold fuels trade, contracts, and upgrades. In the background, workers produce, combat runs, and buildings keep earning — raise how much you gain while away through stewardship and time magic.

Forge, research, fight

  • 15 skills — mining, smithing, magic, alchemy, demonology, time magic, necromancy, runecraft, and more
  • 52 research nodes — new actions, buildings, pacts, and endgame systems
  • 15 buildings — passive production, trade, alchemy lab, rune altar
  • 5 combat zones — five bosses, random dungeon events
  • 8 worker types — automate while you plan ahead
  • 43 forgeable items — weapons and armor with combat and economy bonuses
  • 13 potions & 18 runes — buffs, specialization, endgame power
  • 187 achievements — milestones, bosses, gold economy, hidden surprises

Prestige, pacts & endgame

Strike demonic pacts — reward and risk in one. Master alchemy and runecraft. Forge seven prestige seals, rise stronger from each cycle, and face the First Smith in The Fallen Empire.

More lies ahead:

  • Cycle II — Awakening — beyond the empire: shadow, void, new zones, and tougher trials
  • Cycle III — Convergence — worlds merge, final bosses, ultimate transcendence

At skill level 100: Mastery with three specialization branches per skill — for Grandmaster and Legend Smith ranks.

Features

  • Dark fantasy atmosphere, procedural SFX, 2 music tracks (more to come)
  • Live gold/s display, auto-sell, trade contracts, master workshop
  • Steam achievements & global leaderboards (total XP, prestige speed)
  • Local saves, export/import (.sav)
  • German and English

Who is it for?

For players who want idle and forging games with real depth: many systems, clear progression, a long endgame road — no pay-to-win, no forced timers. Start the forge, let it grow, come back when you're ready.
