Separated inside an abandoned gothic castle, you and your partner have nothing but a walkie-talkie each. Every puzzle hides half its answer on the other side of the wall.

TwinLock is a two-player cooperative puzzle adventure built strictly for two. Two paranormal investigators from the Echo agency come to castle Verathorne to look into a string of disappearances. The castle separates you before you ever get an answer.

You will never see the same room at the same time. One of you holds the levers, the other the symbols. One of you looks down at a chessboard, the other has to walk across it. Neither half means anything alone.

Feature list

• Built for two: no single-player mode, no bots — every puzzle needs a second pair of eyes

• Walkie-talkie only: your voice is the only thing that crosses the walls

• Asymmetric by design: eight puzzles, each split down the middle, difficulty rising as you learn to describe what you see

• No language barrier: solvable without reading a single word of text

NOTE: This game is co-op only. It requires two players, each with a working microphone and an internet connection.

Talk

Describing it is the puzzle.

There is no shared screen and no pointing at things. If you cannot put the shape you are looking at into words, neither of you moves forward.

Solve

Half the answer is always on the other side.

A cube one of you turns face by face while the other reads it unwrapped flat. A row of burning candles that spells a code. A circle of objects bound by rules only one of you can read.

Escape

You meet again at the bridge, or not at all.

The last run is a labyrinth: one of you watching from above, one of you inside, on the clock. Get out and you finally stand in the same place for the first time all game.

How long, and what you get

Around two hours from one side, roughly four if you play both. Achievements are split by perspective — one playthrough earns you half of them. The other half means swapping seats.
