Why Early Access?

“PropHaunt is a multiplayer game, and multiplayer games are shaped by the people in them. Early Access lets us build the game alongside our community — testing balance, fixing bugs, and adding content based on how players actually play. Filling the carnival with real survivors and killers is the fastest way to make PropHaunt great.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 6–12 months, depending on feedback and how fast we can ship the planned content. We'd rather get it right than rush 1.0.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version expands on Early Access: more maps beyond Creepwood Carnival, additional killers and survivors with unique abilities, more props and disguises, cosmetic progression, and refined matchmaking. The core loop — hide, repair, escape — stays; we deepen and polish every part.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable online: one player is The Butcher, the rest disguise as props, repair generators, and escape through exit portals. Includes the Creepwood Carnival map, multiple survivors + one killer, per-character abilities, a downed-and-revive system, proximity voice chat, and Steam friend invites. Expect rough edges and ongoing balance changes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Free during the playtest; full-release pricing will be announced closer to launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback drives development. We collect bug reports, balance feedback, and ideas via our Discord and the Steam forums, and prioritize updates by what players ask for. Playtesters and EA players directly shape what's next.”

Welcome to Creepwood Carnival — a decaying funfair where the rides still turn and something is hunting in the dark. Survivors must power the carnival back up and escape before The Butcher catches them. Their secret? Transform into any prop in the world — a barrel, a pumpkin, a teddy bear — and pray nobody looks twice.

THE HUNT

PropHaunt is a 1v4 asymmetric multiplayer horror game where every match is a tense game of cat and mouse. Survivors blend into the carnival as everyday objects while racing to repair generators and open the exit portals. The Butcher hunts on instinct, axe in hand, listening for the wrong creak of floorboards.

FEATURES

• Become Any Prop — Click an object to morph instantly. Choose your hiding spot wisely; The Butcher is watching.

• Two Sides, Two Playstyles — Survivors rely on stealth and teamwork. The Butcher wields raw power, bear traps, and a sixth sense for prey.

• Skills That Matter — Heal, sprint, vanish, drop smoke, leave decoys, sense the killer. Every cooldown counts.

• Down But Not Out — Run out of health and you're downed, not dead — crawl away and let a teammate revive you before you bleed out.

• Head-Bump Stuns — Drop on The Butcher from above in prop form to stun him cold.

• Steam Lobbies & Friends Only — Public matchmaking or private rooms. No port forwarding, no lag spikes.

• Creepwood Carnival — A hand-built, decaying funfair full of shadows, rides, and a thousand places to hide.
