What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Corid is built around one central idea: fear should not disappear when the scare is over.

Our goal is to create a persistent sense of fear and unease that gradually intensifies as the player progresses. Rather than relying solely on individual scares, Corid uses atmosphere, uncertainty, psychological tension, environmental changes, sound, and the player’s own expectations to create the feeling that something could happen at any moment.

Early Access allows us to learn how different players experience this tension and use their feedback to refine the pacing, atmosphere, puzzles, scares, level design, and psychological horror.

It also gives us the opportunity to develop and test planned experimental features, including an optional heart rate system and “The Observer.” These adaptive systems are intended to react to the player’s behavior, attention, and responses to create a more personal and unpredictable horror experience. Testing them with the community will help us evaluate their effectiveness, technical feasibility, accessibility, and balance.

The core vision of Corid is already defined. Early Access gives us the opportunity to refine and strengthen that vision together with the community while exploring new ways to make each player’s experience uniquely unsettling.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Corid to remain in Early Access until approximately 2028. The exact duration will depend on the progress of development and how the game evolves throughout Early Access.

We want to leave Early Access when Corid has reached the scope, quality, and level of polish we envision for the full release.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Corid is planned to significantly expand upon the Early Access experience with additional areas, a continuation of the story, new puzzles, encounters, gameplay mechanics, and psychological horror events.

We also plan to explore experimental adaptive features, including an optional heart rate system and “The Observer.” These systems are intended to react to the player’s behavior, attention, and physical responses using in-game analysis and, optionally, compatible peripherals. Their purpose is to dynamically adjust events, sounds, and environmental changes, allowing individual players to experience Corid differently—even during repeated playthroughs.

Throughout Early Access, existing areas, gameplay systems, monsters, atmosphere, audio, balancing, performance, and overall presentation are planned to be expanded and refined with the help of community feedback.

The full version is intended to provide a longer, more complete, varied, and polished psychological horror experience. The final scope of individual experimental features may change based on technical feasibility, testing results, and community feedback.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of Corid provides a playable psychological horror experience with approximately three hours of gameplay, although the actual playtime may vary depending on the player’s exploration and playstyle.

The current build includes exploration, environmental storytelling, puzzles, scripted horror sequences, and detailed atmospheric environments. Its primary focus is on establishing Corid’s core experience: creating persistent psychological tension through visuals, sound design, environmental changes, uncertainty, and carefully paced horror.

The planned adaptive features, including the optional heart rate system and “The Observer,” are not yet included in the current Early Access build. They are intended to be introduced and tested through future updates as development progresses.

During Early Access, additional areas, gameplay systems, and content will be added, while existing elements such as balancing, performance, sound, atmosphere, and visual presentation will continue to be expanded and refined with the help of community feedback.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price of Corid as the game grows in scope and receives additional content and features throughout Early Access.

The final pricing has not yet been determined.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will play an important role in the development of Corid. Through our planned official Discord server, Steam Discussions, and regular development updates throughout Early Access, we will collect feedback, suggestions, and bug reports to improve the game’s atmosphere, sound design, lighting, level design, gameplay mechanics, pacing, and overall horror experience.

We will make every effort to review and respond to community feedback. Suggestions will help us determine which mechanics, improvements, and future content should be prioritized. However, not every request can be implemented, and feedback will not fundamentally change Corrd’s core concept, narrative, or creative vision.

Planned experimental features include an optional heart rate system that may dynamically adapt the game using compatible hardware, as well as “The Observer,” a system designed to react to the player’s behavior. This may include the optional use of supported devices such as a microphone or camera, always with the player’s explicit consent.

The game is also planned to analyze in-game behavior, such as how attentive, cautious, or predictable the player is, and dynamically adjust events, sounds, and environmental changes. These planned systems are intended to create a more personal experience for every player. Even during repeated playthroughs, the game’s atmosphere, immersion, and events may change depending on the player’s behavior and reactions.

Community feedback will be essential for testing these systems and balancing immersion, intensity, and player comfort.

About This Game

CORID is hardcore psychological horror that never gives you a moment to breathe.

Experience the story of a woman whose memories have shattered into countless fragments. Explore an ever-changing world, solve puzzles, and relive repressed memories to uncover what truly happened.

CORID thrives on its visual presentation and carefully crafted soundscape. Every room has been individually designed with its own effects, events, and sounds.

But you are not simply exploring this world – it reacts to you. Lights change, objects disappear, and rooms are suddenly no longer the way you remember them. Even the evil lurking within watches your progress and adapts to the way you play.

CORE CONCEPT

CORID does not chase you from one jumpscare to the next. The horror builds slowly – from what you have seen and from what you only believe you have seen.

The fear remains. It grows with every step and makes you question your own perception.

Even silence never means that you are safe.

NOTHING IS WITHOUT MEANING

Puzzles and interactive elements are an integral part of CORID’s world. Observe your surroundings carefully, uncover hidden connections, and question every detail. The solution might be right in front of you – provided you can still trust your own perception.

Interactive Minigame

YOUR FEAR. YOUR INFLUENCE.

CORID will continue to grow and improve throughout Early Access. New content, additional areas, and technical improvements are planned. Community feedback will help shape the game’s continued development and its final experience.

Please only purchase CORID if you are satisfied with the game in its current state.

All content shown on this store page is taken from the current playable version of CORID.
