About This Demo

Welcome to Astral Forge!

Demo Note: This demo focuses on Astral Forge's core desktop operation, Stardust progression, alchemy, and collection experience. Some asynchronous exchange, Steam Inventory, long-term progression, workshop events, and expanded features are still in development and testing; some features described below may not be enabled in the demo.

Turn Your Desktop into an Astral Alchemy Workshop That Keeps Running

Astral Forge: Desktop Alchemist

is a living astral alchemy world designed to run beside your everyday PC use.

As you type and use your computer, you gradually gather Stardust. These resources keep the workshop moving and prepare the way for your next alchemy experiment.

When you are busy, let it keep growing beside you.

When you have time, come back and light the forge again.

Typing → Stardust → Alchemy → Reveal → Collect

Actually Perform an Alchemy Experiment

The forge is the heart of the workshop.

Choose materials, prepare an experiment, watch the heat and changing conditions, and decide when to commit to the forge.

The result is not simply placed in front of you before the process begins.

The fun is in wondering:

What will this experiment create?

A new material, a mysterious creation, a new compendium entry, or something much rarer may be waiting after the next experiment.

Forge, Discover, Collect

Experimenting brings more materials, mysterious creations, relics, and collectibles.

Start with common discoveries, gradually fill unknown compendium entries, and keep searching for rarer results.

Growing your workshop is not just about making a number bigger.

You can actually see:

what you have discovered along the way.

The Workshop Is Not Always Quiet

An idle alchemy workshop does not stay peaceful forever.

Occasionally, workshop events appear and ask for your attention.

For example:

a dangerous bomb may suddenly show up.

Notice it early and click in time:

Defused.

Miss it and…

BOOM.

These little unexpected events keep the workshop from feeling like a looping alchemy animation on your desktop.

Even when you are not staring at it, something can actually happen in this world.

A Workshop That Keeps Becoming More Complete

The forge is only the center of the world.

As you progress, collections, functional areas, different devices, material systems, and other mechanics gradually form a more complete astral workshop.

Sometimes you return for another experiment.

Sometimes you manage your collection.

Sometimes you handle an unexpected event.

And sometimes you do nothing at all and simply let the world keep running beside you.

Play at Your Own Pace Without Being Completely Alone

Astral Forge also includes light asynchronous player interaction.

You do not need to join a real-time multiplayer room, and both players do not need to be online at the same time.

Through asynchronous systems, you can send or receive

basic supplies, greetings, and selected items,

so your workshop can keep its own pace while still forming light connections with other alchemists.

Asynchronous exchanges prioritize added friends; when no suitable friend is available, the system can match other players, with a fallback mechanism to keep the process moving.

No endlessly scrolling public chat, and no pressure from real-time multiplayer.

At some unexpected moment, you may simply receive a bundle of supplies, an item, or a greeting from another alchemist far away.

Rare Discoveries & Steam Collectibles

Alchemy and exploration can also lead to more unusual discoveries.

Some special items can enter your Steam Inventory, letting part of your collection live beyond the save file itself.

You can keep your collection long term; items that support market trading can also be traded with other players through the Steam Community Market.

That means some special discoveries can truly become part of your Steam account.

🖥️ An Alchemy World Made to Stay Beside Your Desktop

Astral Forge can run beneath your desktop, and you can return to the workshop whenever you want to play more actively.

While you work, study, or handle other tasks, let the workshop stay quietly beside you.

With ambient sound, it can become part of your everyday PC environment.

When you have time, return to experiment, handle events, organize your collection, or simply see what has changed.

The game does not demand constant attention; active interaction and background progression are designed to alternate naturally.
