What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“KYC is a story told across seven nights, and we're releasing it the way the best stories unfold, one chapter at a time. Early Access lets us put each night in players' hands as it's ready, and lets your feedback genuinely shape the nights still to come. Suneil's story has a definite ending that's already written, so Early Access is how we build toward it together, with the people who'll live it alongside him”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect KYC to be in Early Access for roughly 8 months as we complete all seven nights”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to carry Suneil's story through to its intended conclusion, deepening the systems and expanding the choices as it unfolds, with polish informed by Early Access feedback. The first Early Access build begins the story and establishes the core loop.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes Night One, featuring the core gameplay loop: serving customers, the conversation system, and the choices that shape the night, all in a complete and playable state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. KYC will start at a lower price during Early Access, and we plan to gradually raise the price as we add new nights and features, with the highest price at full release. Buying early gets you the lowest price and all future content”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback directly shapes the nights still to come. We're active in our Discord, where players can report bugs, share what they did on each night, and tell us what landed and what didn't. Because the story releases one night at a time, your reactions to each chapter genuinely inform how we build and polish the next ones, from the choices we offer to the way each night feels to play. We read everything, and the people who play early are the ones who help us get Suneil's story right before it's complete.”

About This Game

KYC is a first-person narrative horror game that follows Suneil, a down-on-his-luck international student working the night shift at a dodgy Colorado gas station where the customers don't all make it to the morning.

Based on the novel called Welcome to Mehtos 24x7, KYC puts the story above everything. Your choices can change the course of the night and unearth a lore that should have stayed buried.

"Know" Your Customers

Use the conversation wheel to dig deeper and find what makes your customers tick. Use it to your advantage when the time comes.

"Keep" Your Customers

Clean floors and a fully stocked store will go a long way in keeping your customers happy and content. The more happy they feel the easier they are to deceive.

"Kidnap" Your Customers

Find creative ways to get them ready and unconscious for the ancient entity that lurks within the store.

"Kill" Your Customers

The ancient entity doesn't discriminate who it takes as the sacrifice. It can either be you or an unlucky customer who decided to wander into a dodgy gas station in the middle of the night.

Your shift is about to begin. Good Luck!

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

KYC: K Stands for Killing is a narrative horror game with mature themes and depictions of graphic violence.
The game contains:

Graphic violence and gore, including the player character killing other characters. Some sequences involve hunting and lethal violence against non-hostile characters as part of the story.
Disturbing and psychological horror, including body horror, hallucinations, and depictions of a deteriorating mental state brought on by sleep deprivation and stress.
Death and mature subject matter, including grief, loss, and the death of a child referenced in the story.
Themes of prejudice and xenophobia, depicted as part of the narrative's exploration of alienation and being an outsider.
Strong language.

The story deals with difficult moral choices and their consequences. Player decisions can lead to violent outcomes. This game is intended for mature audiences.
