Solving science problems through conversations with NPCs will allow you to obtain the tools needed to find the shopkeeper. But be careful! If you get the science problems wrong, the marshmallow will gradually melt. If the marshmallow melts three times, you will be forcibly moved to the town square and money will be reduced by half. (If you find the marshmallow on the beach before it melts three more times, you can return to the state it was in before it melted once.)
