Cross scorched deserts and dense forests, frozen tundras and windswept plains, and lava-scarred volcanic lands beneath an eternal night.

In the sun-blasted lands closest to Mara, the Daemons grow ever stronger, their forces pushing deeper into the territories of Humans and Daemonkin.

Beneath the surface dwell the Crawlers, primitive subterranean raiders driven by hunger and violence. No treaty has ever been made with them, and none ever will.

The Twilight Zone is bordered by vast forests filled with hostile creatures and restless undead warriors left behind by conflicts older than recorded history. Beyond these dangerous frontiers lies a hidden heartland spoken of only in myths and fragmented tales.

Above it all circles the ring moon Toki. More than a celestial landmark, it shapes the lives of entire civilizations. Time itself is measured by its passage across the sky, and countless generations have lived and died beneath its light.

For more than six thousand moons, no contact has existed between the civilizations of the eternal day and those of the distant night. Whatever became of them remains one of the world's greatest mysteries.
