What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe Kaiju Harvest will become a much better game by being developed together with the community. While the core gameplay loop is already fully playable and enjoyable, we want to use Early Access to gather player feedback, balance progression, refine the talent tree and economy, improve quality of life, and expand the game with additional content based on what players enjoy most.

Our goal is to create a highly polished idle-action experience, and involving the community early will help us make better design decisions while keeping development focused on features that players actually want.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Kaiju Harvest to remain in Early Access for approximately three months. Internally, we are currently aiming to leave Early Access around November 11, 2026. However, this is an approximate target and may shift slightly depending on development progress, player feedback, and the amount of additional polishing needed before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the complete core gameplay loop and is fully playable from start to finish. During Early Access, we plan to expand the game with additional content, further progression options, new upgrades, more talents, improved balance, quality-of-life improvements, and overall polish.

We also plan to continue refining the gameplay based on community feedback, improving the pacing, progression, and overall player experience. Our goal is for the full version to offer a richer, more polished, and more content-complete experience while preserving the fast-paced, satisfying gameplay that defines Kaiju Harvest.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and includes the complete core gameplay experience. Players can harvest defeated kaiju, collect resources, upgrade their equipment, unlock and develop talents, automate production, and progress through the game's main systems.

The game already features multiple resource types, equipment upgrades, a talent tree, progression mechanics, and a complete gameplay loop designed to provide many hours of satisfying incremental progression. While the game is stable and enjoyable in its current state, we plan to continue expanding content, improving balance, polishing the experience, and refining systems throughout Early Access based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not currently plan to change the price when the game leaves Early Access.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout Early Access. We will actively monitor discussions on the Steam Community Hub, read player feedback, bug reports, and suggestions, and use that information to help guide future updates and improvements.

We want to better understand what players enjoy most, identify areas that need refinement, and prioritize quality-of-life improvements and balance changes based on community input. Our goal is to make Kaiju Harvest a better game by listening to the people who play it.”

About This Game

Kaiju Harvest is a fast-paced pixel-art harvesting game where defeated giant monsters become your biggest payday.

The heroes won the fight. The city survived.

Now it’s your shift.

You are a Harvester — a post-battle worker sent to clean up the aftermath of kaiju attacks. Rev up your saw, carve up fallen monsters, collect meat, bones, organs, and rare kaiju amber, then use them to upgrade your equipment.

Upgrade your saws, improve damage and critical hits, unlock collector robots, helper drones, supply drops, critters, and booster drinks. The better your gear, the faster the harvest.

Work your way through various kaiju, from smaller monsters to massive body parts too large to fit on screen. Travel through five disaster zones inspired by famous places around the world: Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Siberia, and Tokyo.

Cut, collect, upgrade, automate, and move on to a bigger monster.

Heroes saved the world.

You clean up the mess.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

The game contains stylized pixel-art depictions of fantasy violence, blood, gore, and dismemberment of defeated fictional monsters. Players carve kaiju carcasses to collect resources such as meat, bones, organs, and heart-cores. No violence against human characters is depicted.
