What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We decided to launch the game in Early Access to address potential bugs and issues that may arise. Based on feedback from players, we will continue to improve and refine the game as much as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to remain in Early Access until late August 2026. However, this timeline may vary depending on development progress and player feedback. Our goal is to continue improving and refining the game until it reaches a stable and complete version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to expand and improve the game significantly based on development progress and player feedback.

We aim to add new content such as additional underground layers and regions, new types of ores and resources, and expanded interaction possibilities within the drilling operation systems. We also plan to introduce new upgrade paths and deeper progression options for the drilling machine and its subsystems.

Alongside content additions, we plan to improve and refine core gameplay systems, balance progression, and enhance overall stability and player experience throughout development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and focuses on co-op steampunk drilling machine management where players work together inside a massive underground system.

The core gameplay loop is complete and functional, allowing players to operate different systems of the drilling machine, manage resources, and survive deep underground expeditions.

Players can interact with and control key systems such as radar tracking, drilling direction, resource collection and transfer, machine repair, and upgrade management.

The current version includes:

Online co-op multiplayer for up to 4 players
A fully functional massive drilling machine system with multiple controllable subsystems
Resource collection and selling system (ores can be gathered and sold for money)
Dynamic economy with changing ore prices
10 different machine upgrade types affecting performance and survival
System-based gameplay including radar, drilling, storage, and repair mechanics

The game is playable in its current state, but additional content, systems, and improvements are planned throughout the Early Access period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to adjust the pricing over time as new content and features are added to the game during and after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community in the development process throughout Early Access.

Player feedback will play a key role in shaping updates, balancing systems, and improving overall gameplay. We will collect feedback through Steam discussions, community channels, and direct player reports, and use this input to guide future development priorities.

We also plan to share development updates regularly and consider community suggestions when refining existing systems or adding new features.”

About This Game

Deep Drill Simulator is a co-op steampunk simulation game focused on managing a massive underground drilling machine.

Players work together inside a complex system-based vehicle where every role matters. One player may monitor the radar system to track underground ores, while another controls drilling direction, another manages resource transfer between storage systems, and others focus on repairing damaged pipes and critical machine components.

⚙️ CORE GAME SYSTEMS

🎯 Radar-based ore tracking system
⛏️ Drilling direction control
📦 Resource transfer between temporary and main storage
🔧 Real-time machine repair system (pipes, damage, systems)
💰 Dynamic economy with changing ore prices
🛠️ Upgrade system for machine performance

💀 SURVIVAL SYSTEM

The expedition ends if:

  • Fuel runs out deep underground

  • The machine suffers critical structural damage

  • Players fail to manage systems efficiently during descent

Every run is a high-risk underground operation where coordination and system management are key to survival.

🔩 UPGRADE SYSTEM

Players use earned resources to upgrade:

  • Drill speed

  • Fuel capacity & efficiency

  • Machine durability

  • Storage capacity

  • Collection range & speed
