What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Lexip is being developed by a very small one-person indie studio. The game has many interconnected systems: factory planning, multiple world layers, magic supply, environmental consequences, research, contracts, blueprints, a world editor, and modding. Early Access gives me the chance to develop these systems together with real players, find issues faster, and better understand which parts of the game already work well and where more depth, usability, or balancing is needed.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is to keep Lexip in Early Access for about one year. This may change if certain systems need more time or if player feedback shows that important improvements should be made before the full release. The goal is not to rush to version 1.0, but to release a stable, polished, and properly tested full version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more content, more polish, and a more stable overall experience. Planned improvements include expanding the world layers, adding more production chains, buildings, recipes, research, contracts, and long-term goals. Performance, usability, and balancing will also continue to improve. The presentation should grow as well, with more ambient sounds, additional assets, clearer visual feedback, and more atmosphere in general. The world editor, blueprint editor, and mod editor are also planned to receive further improvements and better documentation.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains the playable core of Lexip: factory building, layered worlds, resource extraction, magic supply, Null pollution, item, fluid, and gas logistics, research, contracts, licenses, blueprints, and early editor and modding tools. The game is already playable, but it is not fully balanced or final-tested in every area yet. Some content, quality-of-life features, visual details, sounds, and later production chains will be added and improved throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The current plan is to keep the price the same during Early Access and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is especially important because Lexip is being developed by one person. Feedback on bugs, balancing, clarity, performance, and usability will directly help shape development priorities. I am also especially interested in feature requests around the game itself, the world editor, the blueprint editor, and the mod editor. Over time, I would also like to use mod challenges and community ideas to better understand what kind of content and tools players actually want to create with.”

About This Game

Lexip is a cozy fantasy factory-building game about industrial magic, rail logistics, and questionable sustainability. You establish a production colony on a strange planet, mine resources underground, process them through layered production chains, and export goods through portals to demanding clients.

Instead of power grids, you rely on local magic. Magic emitters keep your machines running, but they leave behind Null pollution that spreads, transforms terrain, and gradually changes how you plan your factory. Efficiency matters, but clean production, careful logistics, and a healthy respect for the Mage Guild can be just as important.

Key Features:

  • Build and optimize factories with machines, transport routes, shafts, portals, and utility networks.

  • Plan across multiple world layers: the overworld supports settlement, trade, and visibility, while the underground offers resources and dense industrial space.

  • Replace traditional electricity with local magic that has range, storage, demand, and environmental consequences.

  • Move items, fluids, and gases through separate logistics systems.

  • Research new technologies, unlock buildings, and expand production from simple raw materials to complex magical resources.

  • Complete contracts, buy licenses, and navigate the politely worded bureaucracy of the Mage Guild.

  • Choose whether to expand aggressively, produce more sustainably, or turn the consequences of your factory into later production chains.

  • Use the world editor to create your own maps.

  • Plan, save, and reuse factory layouts with the blueprint editor.

  • Create your own content with a full mod editor for buildings, recipes, resources, research, contracts, localization, and other data-driven game content.

Lexip is being built by a very small one-person indie studio. That is why the game puts a strong focus on systems that can grow: data-driven content, modding, reusable blueprints, and editor tools that let players create their own worlds, factory layouts, and game content.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used in the development of Lexip to create initial drafts and source material for parts of the project, including code, visual assets, sounds, writing, and marketing materials. These outputs were not used unchanged; they were reviewed, selected, adapted, edited, and integrated by the developer. The final implementation, design decisions, and overall tuning were done manually. The game does not generate new AI content during gameplay.
