About This Game

Welcome to Dunwich Park

There’s an old campground deep in the wilderness that’s not on any map. Tucked away on a lonely strip of highway that no one ever goes down, Dunwich National Park lies nearly forgotten, surrounded by a thick fog that hasn’t gone away since the peculiar “incident” that happened nearly 100 years ago in the nearby town of Dunwich.

It's probably best forgotten, because whatever happened has seeped into the land itself, twisting and mutating the ecosystem in horrifyingly alien ways. Now the park is infested with strange plants and dangerous creatures, all waiting for you to step into the fog and never return. No wonder that nearly every mention of Dunwich National Park has been scrubbed from existence.

So it’s strange that you, a lost soul escaping from your checkered past, would find yourself there. Even stranger still that you would be cajoled into becoming its newest park ranger, tasked with defending its inhabitants from the horrors that lurk in the fog.

Maybe it’s fate, maybe it’s dumb luck, maybe you’re just an unwitting pawn in a cosmic conspiracy that’s been going on since the dawn of time. Either way, you’re stuck in this place so you might as well get paid for it. Fight monsters, flirt with your coworkers, and uncover horrifying secrets lurking behind every corner. Will you rise to the occasion? Or will you become just another victim of Dunwich Park?

Hand Drawn Visuals

All our visuals are hand drawn by our art team in our unique style that evokes modern animated shows. Meanwhile, the colours, textures, and shading are done to match the classic Bey Day dot look of an old horror comic book, hand lain in one layer at a time. The combination gives our game a rich visual style that you won't find anywhere else.

Make Tough Choices

Experience tense action sequences that test your decision making in the heat of the moment. Wade through your scrambled thoughts to find the best options before the time runs out. But be careful, too many rash choices could cause serious repercussions. With a branching narrative that responds to your successes and failures, it’s up to you to make the call and suffer the consequences.

Explore the Park

Explore the mysterious locations of Dunwich Park. Visit the heavily fortified ranger’s station or go for a hike through the misty woods. Maybe go for a swim at the beach, just ignore whatever it was that touched your leg. Talk with the handful of people crazy enough to stay in the park, each with their own narratives that progress and change with your story decisions. The world is yours to discover. Just don’t get too distracted, there’s work to do.

Hang Out with your Coworkers

You’re not in this alone. Dunwich Park has three other park rangers in the same unfortunate circumstances as you. Join them on missions or just hang out with them after hours to get to know them and progress your relationships. After all, what’s a better bonding tool than shared trauma? Make friends. Make enemies. Or at least just make an impression.

Don’t Go Insane

Being a Dunwich Park ranger can be mentally taxing, what with the constant brushes with death and phenomena beyond human comprehension and all. As you face down the horrors of the park, you’ll accumulate stress points that will affect your abilities and block certain options. Manage your stress with downtime activities or hanging out with your coworkers. Or maybe just let the madness take hold. Who knows what secrets lie for those who have the vision to spot them.

Choose Carefully. Choose Fast. Good Luck.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

There are monsters in the game, which attack both the player and NPCs. The NPCs on occasion die. Players on occasion do violence towards Monsters through their choice of action, but not a direct action input. Overarchingly it's about conversation and exploration.

There is however a fair bit of tension and stress and reading. It's a Visual Horror Novel, after all.
