What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core experience is built upon the loop of quest-driven progression and weapon cultivation. Only through Early Access can we determine whether the balance of the growth curves meets players' expectations, whether monster difficulty properly matches the player's growth pace, whether each growth system has critical bugs, and how future content should evolve. Early Access allows us to continuously gather valuable community feedback during development, ensuring the full version delivers the most complete "Kung Fu Legend" experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Expected to last approximately 5 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Below are our plans for the future full version:

We plan to add more main story maps, expanding from the current handful to over 15, including classic martial arts locations such as "Shaolin Temple," "Mount Hua Summit," "Peach Blossom Island," and "Demon Cult Headquarters." Each map will feature its own side stories and hidden Easter eggs.

We plan to add greater breadth to the equipment cultivation system. In addition to the current three weapon systems, we will gradually introduce enhancement and training systems for armor, accessories, hidden weapons, and light-footwork manuals. This will allow multi-dimensional attribute growth — attack, HP, defense, critical rate, dodge, and more — truly enabling a "well-rounded master."

We plan to add a random "Jianghu Encounters" event system linked to map quests. During exploration, you will randomly encounter sudden events such as "a beggar transmitting inner power," "discovering a secret manual in an ancient tomb," "a convoy being ambushed," or "bullies oppressing villagers." Your choices will affect attribute changes, quest directions, and even hidden endings.

We plan to add a variety of new quest types to enrich the core loop. Beyond the current linear "talk → fight → turn in" model, we will introduce "timed tracking puzzles," "multiplayer boss sieges," "protect NPC evacuation," "using light-footwork to bypass traps," and other mechanics, giving each map's quests unique strategies for completion.

We plan to add deep interactive storylines for the three forging masters — Master Gu, the Blade Engraver, and Granny Lu. Each will have their own personal quest chain. Upon completion, you can unlock "legacy techniques" — for example, Master Gu teaching "Thousand-Pound Strike" (critical rate boost), Granny Lu teaching "Iron Shield" (block and counter), and more — enhancing the emotional bond between you and these NPCs.

We plan to add a late-game "Martial Arts Tournament" cross-server challenge mode. Players can represent their own server and compete against top fighters from other servers to determine the "number one under heaven." This mode will not have forced matchmaking, providing an optional competitive stage for those interested in pushing their limits.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Three weapon cultivation systems: Master Gu's Divine Weapon Forging (boosts attack), the Blade Engraver's Divine Weapon Sharpening (boosts HP), and Granny Lu's Divine Weapon Tempering (boosts defense). All three systems are fully implemented. You can upgrade them by consuming corresponding materials (ore, sharpening stones, tempering essences), which are obtained through map quests.

Multiple main story maps: Including scenes such as a roadside inn, a secluded sect, and a border town. Each map features its own exclusive quest chain. Completing these quests unlocks the next map, advancing the main storyline.

4 player skills: Designed around different combat styles. Skill balance is still being iterated upon.

Classical Chinese art style: Gray brick and black tile, misty mountains and rivers — creating an immersive martial arts atmosphere.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will always remain free to play.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will post images, text, and short videos via Steam announcements, Bilibili/YouTube, and Discord channels, showcasing new map drafts, NPC designs, and balance adjustment plans, while opening polls and comment sections to gather feedback.”

About This Game

Martial RPG. Enter sword world. Do quests for sects and towns, uncover plots. 3 masters forge weapon: Gu +attack, Engraver +HP via soul, Granny +defense. Finish quests, unlock maps, write your kung fu legend. World awaits.

Game Detailed Description

Martial Arts Mastery: Kung Fu Legend — a martial arts scroll that you can personally turn the pages of.

Step into this ancient-style martial world, where you play as a fledgling knight-errant. No tedious daily chores — just a clear and passionate path: take on every commission, complete every quest, and push the story forward. Each map brings a new adventure — from a humble roadside inn to the depths of forbidden palaces, from secluded sects to remote border towns. Quests guide you ever deeper into this magnificent martial arts world.

Three Supreme Arts, Forging Divine Weapons

To walk the martial path is to treat your weapon as your own limb. The game features three distinctive growth systems, all centered around the refinement of your weapon:

  • Master Gu · Divine Weapon Forging — With heavy hammer blows, he enhances the weapon's raw sharpness and sturdiness. Each forging permanently boosts your attack power, making every sword slash and palm strike hit harder.

  • The Blade Engraver · Divine Weapon Sharpening — He infuses the weapon with a "weapon soul," awakening the spirit slumbering within the metal. Once sharpened, the weapon not only resonates with you but also greatly increases your HP, allowing you to stand firm in fierce battles.

  • Granny Lu · Divine Weapon Tempering — Using her secret recipes, she tempers the weapon between extreme heat and cold, forging a resilient soul. After successful tempering, defense rises significantly, making you nearly impervious to blades and spears.

Currently, these three systems focus solely on weapon enhancement. In the future, we plan to gradually introduce armor, accessories, and other equipment upgrades, opening up more possibilities for your character's all-around growth.

Quest-Driven, Step by Step

The core loop is simple yet fulfilling: talk to NPCs → accept quests → travel to the corresponding map → complete quests for rewards → unlock new maps → advance the story. Every quest is carefully woven with plots that fit the martial arts world — whether it's escorting a fallen scholar, wiping out bandits in a mountain stronghold, or searching for lost secret manuals. Quest rewards are your key resources for self-improvement. Every choice you make and every battle you fight stores power for your next journey.

A Scroll of Ancient Beauty, Immersed in the Martial World

The game's visuals embrace a rich traditional Chinese aesthetic — streets of blue brick and black tile, misty landscapes of rain-washed mountains, and martial arts arenas crisscrossed with sword aura. Every frame feels like it has stepped out of a yellowed martial arts storybook. Accompanied by melodious traditional Chinese music, the game creates an immersive atmosphere that makes you feel as if you've truly traveled back to that age of chivalry and vendetta.
