What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“IDEA:20Q is not yet a finished game.
As a one-person development game, this game is lacking in many elements.
Core content — including the campaign mode, minigames, and AI improvements — is
still in active development. Because this game runs a local AI model on each
player's own machine, feedback from a wide variety of hardware environments is
essential to getting the experience right.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to exit Early Access and release the full version sometime between 2026 and 2027.
The exact timing may shift depending on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to keep expanding the game throughout Early Access. Our goals include adding a full story campaign, more game modes and puzzles, additional language support, and ongoing improvements to the AI and polish based on player feedback. These plans may evolve as development continues.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Here is what is currently available in the Early Access version:

[Complete]
• Three free play modes — You Guess / You Answer / Co-op
• Category and difficulty selection
• AI Review — the AI scores your questions after each game
• Turn rewind, hints, and an archive of past games
• Korean and English language support

[In Development]
• Campaign Mode (story + 20 Questions)
• 16 logic-puzzle minigames
• Expanded word pool and additional language support
• AI performance improvements”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No — we don't plan to increase the price during or after Early Access. Buying during Early Access will cost the same as buying the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We read and value player feedback and use it to guide what we build next. Players can share feedback, suggestions, and bug reports on the game's Steam Community Hub and Discussion forums, which we'll be following throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

▸ An AI That Lives and Breathes Inside Your PC IDEA: 20Q is a game where you play Twenty Questions against an artificial intelligence that runs entirely on your computer. Every word you think of, every question you ask — none of it ever leaves your device.

▸ More Than Just Twenty Questions Your opponent isn't working from a script. It's an AI that actually reasons. To guess your word, it narrows down possibilities question by question. When you're the one asking, it answers based on facts and logic.

▸ Three Ways to Play

  • I'll Guess — The AI picks a word. Figure it out in 20 yes-or-no questions.

  • I'll Answer — You pick the word. The AI tries to deduce it. Don't let it win.

  • Co-op — An AI partner suggests questions and works alongside you toward the answer.

▸ Two Characters Ganymede, a dimension-watcher driven by curiosity. Europa, a recorder of human civilization. Through every game you play, these two beings work to understand what it means to be human.

▸ Multiple Endings Why are you playing Twenty Questions with them? Beyond the light-hearted deduction game, a quietly unfolding science fiction story is waiting for you.

▸ More to Discover

  • 12-chapter campaign (in development)

  • Puzzle minigames

  • Post-game AI review — the AI replays your questions and scores your reasoning

  • Undo, hints, difficulty settings, and a personal game history archive

  • Korean & English supported
