Why Early Access?

“FarmingChildhood is being developed by a small team, and we want to build the game together with our community. Early Access allows us to gather real-world feedback on the gameplay, balance progression, and prioritise the features that matter most to players, whilst funding further development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate this will take between 6 and 12 months. This timeframe may vary depending on feedback from the community and the scope of the new features we wish to include before the final release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more crops, production buildings, animals and areas to unlock. We also hope to expand the quest system, add more narrative and nostalgic content, and continue fine-tuning the overall balance of the game's progression and economy.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable and stable. The core gameplay loops are in place: farming, harvesting, crafting, decorating and unlocking new areas. Some systems are still under development, and content will be added regularly throughout the Early Access period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will be slightly lower during Early Access as a thank you to players who support us early in the development process. The price will increase when the game is released as version 1.0.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll be active on Discord and the Steam forums to gather feedback straight after each update. Suggestions from the community will have a real impact on our development priorities: which cultures to add, how to balance progression, and which decorations or buildings to include. We’ll regularly share updates on our progress via devlogs and previews of upcoming content, so that players feel like they’re part of the project rather than just spectators.”
