Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to develop the game alongside the community. A simulation game thrives on balance, pacing, and replayability. By releasing early, we can gather crucial feedback on shop mechanics, economy balancing, and overall fun factor to ensure we are building an experience that players truly want to engage with, rather than developing in a vacuum.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate 3D Print Shop Simulator will be in Early Access for roughly 8 to 12 months. However, this timeline may adjust based on community feedback and the scope of new features requested during development. Our primary goal is to ensure the game becomes what it needs to be before a full 1.0 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to significantly expand the core gameplay loop for the full release. While Early Access provides a strong foundation for managing your shop and printing models, we intend to introduce deeper mechanics like a Painting Station and an Assembly Workbench for complex, multi-part prints. The full version is planned to include a wider variety of 3D printers, advanced shop upgrades, and an expanded catalog of printable models. We also plan to continually polish the shop economy and implement community-driven quality-of-life changes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As of version 0.0.01, the core shop simulator loop is fully playable. Players can run their business, sell to NPC customers, and utilize our realistic 3D printing mechanics that track filament usage layer-by-layer. We also have advanced features already live, including a quest system, an assembly workbench for multi-part prints, and the ability for players to import custom .OBJ model mods. A fully functioning save system is also in place so you never lose your progress.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are offering the game at an introductory price during Early Access as a thank you to the community members who help shape the game. As we implement new 3D printing mechanics, expand the store management features, and approach the full release, we plan to gradually raise the price to reflect the expanded content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be actively involving the community via the Steam Forums and our official Discord. A major focus of our Early Access period is perfecting Steam Workshop integration and custom .OBJ file importing, which requires heavy community testing and feedback, especially for features like multi-part printing. We want this game to have hours of replayability, and we will be directly using community feedback to guide our content updates and ensure we are building the exact shop management experience they want to play.”

This isn't just a waiting game; it’s a hardware simulation. Buy spools of filament in any color imaginable and load them into your machines. To get the highest quality prints (and the highest payouts!), you will need to actively calibrate your printers. Dial in the perfect Nozzle Temperature, Extrusion Rate, and Z-Offset. Push your machines to print fast for quick cash, or slow them down to guarantee a flawless, high-quality product.

Run Your Storefront

Your shop isn’t just for fulfilling online orders—walk-in customers want to buy your creations! Arrange physical display shelves using a precise grid system or freely place items exactly how you want them. The game dynamically calculates the retail price of your prints based on their actual physical volume, the cost of the filament, and the machine time used. Watch as AI customers browse your store, pick up your prints, and head to the checkout counter!

Fulfill Custom Orders

Use your in-game computer OS to check the daily job board. Customers will request specific items, exact colors, and minimum quality standards. Slice the files, monitor the print progress, package the finished products into shipping boxes, and drop them off at the delivery zone to earn massive payouts and unlock new digital blueprints.
