You awaken in an unknown forest, guided from the dark depths of water by a distant song. There, you meet someone who seems to know you — depending on the protagonist you choose, a girl or a boy.

Your partner gives you a name, and you begin a life together, calling their home your own. Before long, you learn that the Mirror of Samsara — the force governing the cycle of rebirth — has been shattered by an unknown hand, bringing the flow of rebirth to a halt. Determined to restore the mirror, you set out on a journey.
